If Only,
Saga 1,
Chapter 2
By JessiE
Caitlin got very upset when she knew
that Amanda and Jennifer would have a chance to interview 'N Sync and the
Backstreet Boys.
I wished they both got bad news
from Claudia... but they got good news instead! It's totally not fair. I
should be the one who's supposed to get the chance to interview those two
groups... I've done some interviews before, but only with those celebrities
who aren't very popular like 'N Sync and Backstreet Boys! This isn't fair!
Jennifer and Amanda never even did any interviews before- but they get to
interview the two hottest boy bands even for their first interview!
She took a pencil on her desk and broke
it into two.
I hate Amanda and Jennifer- but
mostly I just hate Jennifer! She gets everything I want! This is not fair!
She took another pencil and broke it
into two again.
I have to do something!
Caitlin took yet another pencil and
broke it into two once again madly.
Several days later...
(after Amanda and Jennifer had interviewed 'N Sync and the Backstreet
Boys)
Amanda came to meet Jennifer at Jennifer's
dek to ask her about the interview that they had done.
"How would you like to do the report
that Claudia had asked us to do?" Amanda asked.
"What report?"
"Report about the interview! How can
you forget about it so fast?"
"Oh, sorry! I was thinking about lots
of things, I got confused."
"Okay, you know what? Take a short
rest. You've been doing a lot of work lately, not like before- you were
always resting even when you still had a lot of work that had not been done
yet. I'll discuss about this later."
"Later? When? You know we're always
busy since we interviewed the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync."
"I know... we're both busy. But we
have to relax a little, Jennifer. Claudia still gave us time to complete
all our work. It's not like the magazine will be published tomorrow!"
"All right, I know. You're right. I'd
like to get a drink right now. Want any drinks?"
"No, thanks. I'll do my work first."
"Oh, now I think you're the one who's
supposed to get some rest."
"I'm still fresh and active, you know.
But you... you're getting more exhausted day by day."
"Oh, am I?"
Amanda nodded.
"Fine, then, nevermind. I'm going now...
are you sure you don't want any drink?"
"No."
"Okay, then."
Jennifer got up and walked away.
I'd better get moving... I
still have loads of work to do! Amanda hurriedly went back to her desk.
The whole office of EntertainmenTeen
was totally silent and quiet. It was getting a bit late at night. It seemed
like everyone had gone home, but there was still someone left. She was Caitlin.
This is a perfect time to do what
I have planned. Nobody's left around here anymore. I could do it right now
and nobody would know that I was the one who did it.
Caitlin smiled all by herself. She
hurriedly went to Amanda's desk and started searching for something.
Where are those papers that are
written something about the interview? I saw Amanda putting them in one
of these drawers...
Caitlin was planning to steal Amanda's
work about the interview. Amanda who always locked her lockable drawers,
unfortunately did not lock them that time because she forgot to do it. She
was too busy doing her work the whole day. Caitlin actually knew that she
forgot to lock her drawers. Caitlin was actually watching Amanda and Jennifer
the whole day, trying to get an idea on how to take revenge on Jennifer.
She even checked the drawers herself to make sure they were not locked. She
did not want to take the papers till everyone had gone home. It was because
she did not want anybody to know.
After searching for a while, she found
the papers. She took them with excitement and complacency.
Amanda, you're so careless! These
things that you've been working on for the whole day are now 'stolen'...
She put the papers in one of Jennifer's
drawers, which could be easily opened.
