| this song is the last "kiss me" era cure track to be officially released..."to the sky" was written and recorded during the "kiss me" sessions, but never released until the very limited edition/fiction records promotional item called "stranger than fiction" in 1989. this compact disc celebrated fiction records' first ten years, and only about 1,000 copies were made...featuring these tracks... the cure/"to the sky" cult hero/"i dig you" the associates/"janice" tim pope/"i want to be a tree" die warzau/"shake down" a second, cassette only version called "stranger than fiction part two" was released two years later in 1991 in the united states only...with "to the sky" but different tracks in place of the others. |
