| these songs "i want to be a tree," "the double-crossing of two-faced fred," and "the elephant song" are all songs released by tim pope. tim pope was introduced to the world (and to the cure) in 1982, when he directed the video for "let's go to bed." the hook-up between tim pope and the cure would be memorable for all involved and he would film all of the cure's videos for some time... when he was young, pope wrote and recorded some songs w/a childhood friend...one of those was "i want to be a tree." after taking up a friendship with the cure, robert and the band helped tim record these three songs... "i want to be a tree" was released as a single, and the other two tracks were b-sides... |
