| most record labels release promotional compact discs for new albums/singles--and in 1987 elektra records promoted the "kiss me kiss me kiss me" release by sending out the "kiss me radio sampler." this very rare sampler featured "just like heaven" "catch" "all i want" "the perfect girl" "torture" "why can't i be you?" and this remix of "how beautiful you are..." found officially only here. this bob clearmountain mix (significantly shorter than the original) was specially requested/commissioned by fiction records, probably thinking and planning that the song would be released as a single...but even though the "kiss me" album gave way to four singles, "how beautiful you are..." was not one of them...in a twist, bob clearmountain would mix the single "just like heaven." |
