this is one of the most talked about "missing songs" in the cure history books...supposedly written for the oft-rumored robert smith solo album (in the works from 1982/1983 until 2001 and beyond), "ariel" is a bit of a mystery. most seem to agree that this version was recorded for the kid jensen radio program...and that robert did this alone--this one has never been officially released anywhere by anyone.
