| Unanswered Prayers Heres our seats, Justin announced, leading his wife through the throngs of people in the stadium. to watch the college fottball game. No sooner had himself and his wife, Christy, had sat down did he heat, Justin? Justin Timberlake? Justin crinched, afraid of turning around and finding a fan. All he wanted was one night to go to a football game with his wife. He was 27 years old, yet one of the most sought after men in the world. Justin slowly turned around, afraid of what hed find. Sitting behind him on the bleacher seat was a heavy set woman, who looked vaugly familiar, yet he couldnt quite place it. Can I help you? Justin asked with an arched eyebrow. Its me! she said smiling widely, like he should know who she was. Im sorry, but Ive met tons of fans over the years, and its hard to remember all of them, Justin said. The womans face fell. Its me... Pinky. Thats when the realization set in, of why he recognized her. Britney? Justin gasped, finding it hard to believe that this woman use to be known as the Pop Princess. Uh, youve changed. Yeah, well thats what a few children will do to you, Britney said. Christy cleared her throat. Oh! Britney, this is my wife Christy, Chris this is Britney Spears, Justin introduced. Its nice to meet you, Christy said, shaking her hand. You too, Britney smiled. You really got a great guy. Yeah, I think so, Christy smiled, reaching over and grabbing Justins hand, lacing their fingers together. Uh, the games starting, Justin said. Through the game he couldnt help but let his mind wonder. Wonder what might have been. He remembered back to how much he had loved Britney when he was younger. He use to pray to God every night for him and Britney to spend the rest of their lives together. But then both changed and decided to go their separate ways. Justin remembered how heartbroken he was. He even blamed God for it for awhile. But that all passed once he met Christy. It was a whole different kind of love he felt for her. He couldnt live without her. It was now that he prayed, thanking God for leaving that one prayer unaswered. |
