Come with me? Justin asked, with pleading eyes.

I cant, Kendra answered, looking away.

Why? Justin asked hurt.

Kendra looked up at him. I cant leave here, she gestered around her, her home, a
forest with pine trees towering, and a smooth flowing river going through it.

This is my home. I cant leave it for a place where Ill always be cooped up inside.
Thats not for me. I was born to be outside, in nature.

I understand, Justin sighed, looking up at the sky. He had only been here a month, and
he didnt want to leave even though he had to, but she had lived her her whole life. It was
all she knew.

I gotta get going, Justin said starring at her. My plane is going to be leaving soon. You
have my number in case you ever change your mind though.

Ill never change it, Kendra said.

A boy can always hope, Justin said. Ill never forget you Kendra.

And Ill never forget you City Boy, Kendra said.

Justin bent down and softly kissed her on the lips. It was short, but held much passion in
it.

When they pulled apart, Kendra walked away without another word, walking along the
river.

Justin watched her, as she walked out of his life.

Therell never be another one like you, Kendra, Justin whispered to himself.
