| Nothing But Rain She thought that he would have been here by now. That he would have found her and taken her home long ago. Yet here she stood alone in the dark on their bridge. The bridge they had their first kiss on. The bridge they had their first fight on. The bridge they fell in love with each other on. She listened to see if she could hear him, but she was met with only the silence of the night. She angerily pushed a loose strand of her wet hair behind her ear as she squinted out into the darkness. She saw nothing but rain pouring from the angery dark sky. Her teeth chattered as the freezing cold rain sunk through her clothes. A lone tear ran down her face. Nobody likes to be alone. To feel rejected. yet thats exactly how she felt. Rejected. Casted aside. Maybe she didnt mean as much to him as he did to her. She sighed, as for the first time she gave up hope in him. Slowly she made her way down the bridge, the realization hitting her hard. She paused, thinking she heard a footstep behind her. She slowly turned around hoping to see him even though she knew it was wishful thinking. He wont be there. He had better things to do. A sob caught in her throat as she noticed the outline of a figure. Josh, manage to escape her mouth, the tears freely running down her face. All she wanted was for him to take her hand, to take her home. He stepped closer to her opening his arms, allowing her to fall into them against his chest. Im so sorry, he whispered against her hair. I was so wrong. I never should have yelled at you like that. Im sorry too, she cried, clinging to him. Im the one who upset you. Josh held her away from him at arms length. This was not your fault. I shouldnt have snapped at you. He then pulled her against him, never wanting to let go. I love you. I love you too. |
