| Chapter Twelve- Starbucks Cassy walked into the Starbucks, the bells on the door ringing, announcing her arrival. Soon as she stepped in, she was hit with the strong smell of coffee. She quickly scanned the small coffee house, in search of whom she was meeting. Her eyes finally landing on a man in the back with a baseball hat on. She slowly approached the table, his face coming into view. She smiled with recognition . He smiled back, standing up. Hey, Justin said softly, starring at her. Hey, Cassy said back. So you want some coffe? Justin offered. Sure, Ill take a latte, Cassy said as they went over to the counter to order. Once they got their coffee, they left the tiny coffee house. They walked down the Orlando sidewalk, neither saying a word. They reached a park. Justin went and sat on a bench, Cassy following his lead. The bench over looked the Alantic Ocean. So- What- Both started to say at the same time. They laughed together. You go first, Justin said. No, you. Mine wasny important, Cassy said. OK, Justin said. I was just going to ask you how your college classes are going? Oh, theyre going ok, Cassy said looking down. She didnt like lieing to him, but it was too late now. What is it youre majoring in again? Animal Science. Right, now I remember. Cassy smiled, remembering something. What? Justin asked. Hows doctor school going? Cassy asked. Justin looked at her weirdly. What? That day we first met, I remember you saying that you were going to be a doctor! Oh yeah! I forgot about that! Justin laughed. No offence, but I really wont want a popstar operating on me, Cassy informed him. Actually, I only said that to impress you, Justin said, looking down. Aww, how sweet, Cassy said. Justin rolled his eyes, then looked out at the ocean. Cassy followed his eyes. Its beautiful, isnt it? Yeah, Justin said, looking over at her as she watched the ocean. Have you lived her your whole life? No, Cassy said. I grew up on Rhode Island. My dad got transferred here when I was nine. How about you? Justin looked at her shocked that she didnt know. Im from Memphis, he laid on the southern drawl real heavy, making Cassy giggle. I moved here when I was twelve. Oh yeah, I remember Steph mentioning that once, Cassy said, glancing at her watch standing up. OMG! I gotta get going! What? Where? Justin asked also standing up. Im sorry, Cassy apoligized. I totally last track of time. I should have left about five minutes ago. It was about the time that Cassy told her dad that she would be home. Alright, Justin said, Can I at lease walk you to your car? Of course you can, Cassy said. So, Justin said once they reached Cassys car. Will it be alright if I call again? Ill be insulted if you didnt, Cassy said flirtatiously. Thats all Justin needed to give him encouragement. He bent down, kissing Cassy on the lips. He took her by surprise, but her lips soon reacted back to his. Whoa, Justin said once they pulled apart. Yeah, whoa, Cassy breathed. Uh, I gotta get going before I get in trouble for being late. Ok, Justin said watching as she got into her Explorer. Once in, Cassy rolled down the window. Youre going to call, right? You bet. |
