| Chapter Eleven- Burning Down the House �Coming!� Mercedes yelled, as the front doorbell rang. She ran to it and opened it. �Wow, you do know how to use the doorbell.� �Haha,� Justin said as he walked past her into the house uninvited. He sniffed the air. �Is something burning?� Mercedes eyes got huge. �My dinner!� She went running to the kitchen with Justin right behind her. Mercedes quickly opened the microwave door, as a cloud of smoke came steaming out of it. She started reaching in, when Justin stopped her. he grabbed some oven mitts and took out the melted plastic bowl with some weird burnt stuff in it. �I don�t even want to know what that was,� Justin said, dumping the bowl in the sink and running cold water over it. �Didn�t your mom ever tell you not to put plastic in the microwave?� Mercedes didn�t answer him. Justin looked over at her, in time to see a tear run down her cheek. �Are you ok?� Justin asked softly. Mercedes sniffled. �I almost burned down the house.� Justin couldn�t help but smiling at her. �What? I about burn down my brother�s house, and you think this is funny?� Mercedes asked angerily. �What you doing here anyways? Don�t you have a house to go home to?� �Cool it Sparky,� Justin said still smiling. �Sparky?� Mercedes questioned with a raised eyebrow. �It fits you. FIrst time I met you, you had sparks flying out of your mouth. Then now you about burned down the house. So the name Sparks, Sparky, just fits.� �If you get to have a nickname for me, then I get to have one for you.� �Like what?� �Like,� Mercedes looked at him evily. �Spanky.� �Spanky?� Justin questioned. �Why.� �Because you need,� Mercedes leaned in close. She noticed Justin was watching her lips, licking his own. Right when he started to bend in, Mercedes yelled, �A spanking!� She spanked Justin�s butt, walking past him out of the kitchen. Justin followed her, grabbing her arm to turn her around to face him. �That wasn�t very nice Sparky!� �Oh, it wasn�t, Spanky?� Mercedes said innocently. |
