Flickering Candle

He sat in the rocking chair, watching the candle flickering in the evening glow, waiting
for this night to be over.

It hadnt even been a hour since she walked out the door, out of his life. They had
arguements before, but always found a way back to each other.

But this one was different. She wont be coming back again. She was gone. For good.

Not being able to watch the candle anymore, he stood up, heading to the bathroom. He
stood in front of the mirror starring at himself. His eyes were bloodshot red and puffy
from crying. He bent down to the sink, splashing water on his face.

He was glad she was gone. She was starting to bore him. It was time that he moved on, he
thought.

He looked up, water running down his face. His eyes told different than what his mind
thought.

He headed back to the living room.

There it was. The candle still flickering, casting eeirry shadows that danced around on
the walls.

He couldnt take it anymore. It was like the candle was mocking him, as it bounced
around.

He had enough, he blew it out, as the room became dark.
