JC buckled his seat belt and shifted in his seat as he looked out the window. He had been looking forward to this break ever since they started the Celebrity tour a few months back. They had their last show a few days ago and the guys had two weeks. That's right. Two whole wonderful stress free weeks and he couldn't wait to do a whole lot of NOTHING. He grinned at the thought of him dozing off on the beach, nothing but the sound of the waves flooding through him. No screams. No cameras. Nothing.
He turned to Justin and noticed he was lost in deep thought. Ever since he saw the magazine a few moments ago he had been quiet. Damn piazza, he cursed as he took pity on his friend. "How you holdin up, man?" he asked as he nudged the younger man.
He looked up at him. "Huh? Oh...I'm fine," he said with a sigh as he shifted in his seat. "Just ready to get there."
"Me too," he said and then patted him on the knee. "Don't stress over it, things will blow over."
"Yeah. I'm just pissed it got leaked," he grumbled as he rested his head against the chair as the plane started to make it's way down the runway.
"I know. I'm surprised that my break up with Bobbie hasn't leaked yet."
Justin looked at him blankly. "JC, ya'll are still friends and you still take her to awards and events."
He shrugged. "Hey, no one asked. Yeah, I'm lucky enough to have ended my relationship with Bobbie on good terms. She's great, but we've both come to realize that we want different things. She feels that it's time for her to settle down and God knows I'm not the one that can give it to her." He shrugged. "I love her and all, but I've come to the conclusion that I'm not IN love with her."
Justin nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah, I totally see what you're saying. Maybe that's how I am with Britney?"
"Maybe," he said and then sighed. "But just... try not to think about it okay? We came to have a good time and I'm determined to do just that."
"You're right," he said and leaned back in his seat as he felt the plane pick up speed.
JC leaned his head back as well and closed his eyes as the force of the plane pushed him against the chair. He always loved that feeling. He let out a sigh and for some reason started to think about the woman he ran into... literally. He reached up and to touch his sensitive head and winced when it was still tender.
Justin opened his eyes at the sound of JC and looked at him worriedly. "You okay?"
"Yeah, I just had a little encounter back at the shop," he said as he took off his hat and rubbed his head. "Damn that's a big knot."
"What happened?" he laughed.
"I ran into this girl," he said as he tossed his hat down on the floor on top of his carry on bag. "And both of our things fell to the ground and we both decided to reach down and grab it at once and bumped heads."
"Ooo," Justin winced. "Smooth man."
"Yeah," he said with a chuckle. "She actually had the issue of Rolling Stones which I thought was amusing."
"The one where we are on the cover? NICE!"
"Yeah, she got embarrassed when I asked if she liked us."
"She didn't recognize you?"
"She started too, so I ducked and ran for cover," he said and then leaned back and closed his eyes thinking the conversation was over.
"Was she hot?"
JC thought about it and shrugged while he kept his eyes clothes. "Yeah now that I think about it. She was pretty cute."
"What did she look like?"
"Shoulder length brown hair...emerald green eyes...cutest smile."
Justin chuckled. "Looks like to me that you HAVE thought about it."
"Huh? Don't be ridiculous Justin, I'll never see the woman again. She's probably on a plane right now on her way to Timbuktu."
"Yeah and hopefully the sexy bitch is with her."
"Huh?"
"Forget about it," he said as he pulled out his Discman. "Just some bitch I ran into."
"A SEXY bitch I take it?" he asked with a grin.
"Uh huh," he said and then closed his eyes and listened to Limp as he slowly fell asleep.
The Kennedy sisters were definitely not on there way to Timbuktu, but were sitting four rows directly behind Justin and JC. Ashley shifted in her seat as she tried to get comfortable, but failed. "What's wrong?" she heard her sister ask.
"Nuthin...I can't get comfortable," she mumbled as she fiddled with her pillow. "Why the hell you got a 6:30 a.m flight is beyond me."
"It's the only one I could get on such short noticed," she informed her. "Stop whining."
Ashley growled at her older sister in annoyance as she shifted again and started beating at the pillow. "This sucks."
"Cry me a river, sis," she mumbled as she flipped through her magazine. Ashley sneered at her sister for using her own phrase and then tore the magazine away from her.
"HEY!" she exclaimed. "Give it!"
"You actually LIKE these guys?" she asked as she studied the five men on the cover.
"Yeah, is there a problem with that?" she huffed.
She shrugged. "No, they just look too...I dunno goody-goody for me."
Marron let out a laugh. "Goody-goody? Ha! You obviously never watch them then."
She rolled her eyes. "What do you mean? They're your typical boy band that writes cheesy love songs about true love which I know first hand there's no such thing."
Marron sighed. "First of all, Ash...Cody was never right for you so forget about him."
"Yeah, whatever," she sighed and then studied the younger man with blue eyes. "Who's the bald guy?"
"Justin," she said and then leaned back in her seat.
"He's dating that Britney chic right?" she asked as she began to study his features. 'Whew...not too shabby,' she thought.
"I think, I dunno," she said with a shrug. "I don't keep up with their private lives like a lot of their fans do, I'm more into their music. And it's not sissy music....like that guy," she said as she pointed to JC. "Wrote a song about cyber sex."
"Really??" she asked shocked and shrugged. "Interesting, must be a kinky boy...he's hot though I'll give you that."
"Yeah," she said with a sigh as she stared at his glossy picture.
Ash rolled her eyes at her sister. "Put your tongue back in your mouth, it's disgusting," she said and as she handed her the magazine back.
"Oh shut up," she said and opened it back up to her page.
"What would Cevin say if he knew you drooled over a popstar?" she teased. Ashley loved giving her older sister hell about her current boyfriend. She absolutely despised the guy. He was too into how he looked in the mirror then her sister. "I personally would rather see you with that cyber sex guy than that pansy."
"Leave me alone, Ash," she sighed and decided it was the perfect time to listen to her headphones.
"Speaking of which how did you convince the dork to let you leave? He usually won't let you leave his side?"
"Because unlike SOME people, he knows that this trip is important to me," she said as she dragged out her headphones.
"Whatever," she sighed and then turned her back on her and tried to get comfortable once more.
Marron pulled the headphones over her head but hissed in a breath when the band brushed her sensitive bump on her head. 'Damn, was he hardheaded,' she thought as she touched it lightly. She was still curious about the man she "bumped" into and why the hell he was wearing shades. 'Maybe he was someone famous,' she thought with a smile. Yeah right like she would ever get that lucky.
The mystery man was quite handsome however. He had light brown hair and the only reason she knew that was because she saw his hair sticking out from under his hat. He was tall and well built. Something else she noticed when she ran into him. The man was hard as a rock! His smile... man his smile was what got to her. And she was quite sure he snagged many women just by smiling at them. Hell, it caught her attention and she wasn't even suppose to notice things like that. She had a boyfriend for cryin out loud. 'You'll never see the guy again so just stop thinking about that drop dead smile and go to sleep,' she told herself as she listened to JC sing to her in her headphones.
"Don't... they have... people... to do this," Justin grunted as he trudged down the hallway with his four bags draped all around him.
"It's not my fault you brought you're whole closet," JC said who was easily pulling his one suitcase on wheels and backpack over his shoulder.
"Shut up," he mumbled as he trailed behind JC. "Where's our room?"
"125," he said. "End of the hall."
"Typical," he mumbled.
"At least we're on the first floor and not the second," he said over his shoulder.
"Yeah, yeah," he said under his breath.
"This is it," JC said as he pulled out the room key.
"There better be a two beds in there," Justin warned.
"I'm not that stupid, J," he mumbled as he opened the door. "It's the first thing I asked when I booked it."
"Good," he said as he made his way into the room.
JC just shook his head and made his way through and right when he closed the door the Kennedy sisters came around the corner.
"This is a nice place," Ashley said amazed. "How did you afford this??"
"Compliments of the people of Sea World," she said with a grin as she referred to the people she worked for.
"Well, if I'm stuck here I might as well live in style," she admitted.
"What room are we in?" she asked Ashley since she was the one with the key.
"Uhh, 123," she said. "Towards the end of the hall."
"Okay," she said as she pulled her luggage with her.
Ashley opened the room and they both gapped when they saw their home for the next two weeks. The plush carpet was starch white and the walls were painted a light yellow. The living room was decorated with two white leather couches that were perpendicular to each other with a glass table nestled in front of them. They had a dining and a kitchen area and a hallway that led to the two bedrooms.
"Wow," Marron said as she smiled. "I could get use to this."
"Me too," Ashley said as she made her way down the hall towards the bedroom. She peeked in one room to see two double beds and then went down further to the end of the bed and grinned. "Now that's what I'm talking about," she said when she saw the king sized bed. "I get the master bedroom!"
Marron rolled her eyes. "Yeah, fine whatever," she called out as she dropped her bags and walked to the balcony. The view was incredible. The blue ocean was just right out their balcony. She closed her eyes and a took a deep breath of the salty sea air. This is where she belonged, she thought. Near the ocean. With her dolphins. She smiled and the walked back through the sliding door.
Just next door, the balcony door swung open and JC poked his head outside. "Wow, this is great," he said and then stepped out. He sat on one of the lawn chairs and propped his feet on the railing. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He was gonna be in heaven for the next two weeks, he thought. He could sit here the whole trip and enjoy the peacefulness if he wanted to.
"Damn look at the honeys we got here," Justin said from behind him.
JC peeked his eyes open and chuckled when he saw the women walking along the beach in their thong and string bikinis. "You're hopeless man."
"Yeah, that's me," he said as he lifted himself up on the railing and looked down at him. "So what do you wanna do next?"
He shrugged. "Nothing," he said as he closed his eyes. "Nothing at all."
Justin sighed and looked out into the ocean. "Sounds like a plan."
"I'm off to the beach," Ashley said as she walked into the den.
Marron was about to walk out to the balcony, but when she heard her sister she stopped and turned around. She frowned at her swimsuit. "Ash, that's a little too..."
She looked at her weird and then down at her baby blue string bikini. "What?"
"Um... revealing?"
She rolled her eyes. "Whatever sis, it's not my fault you wear those tank-tops. Ya know Mar, you should live a little. Borrow one of my string bikinis."
"Nooo thanks," she said as she held up a hand.
"Wimp," she teased. "So uh... you going to the research center today?"
"No," she said as she shook her head. "I'm not expected there until tomorrow."
"What are you going to do?"
"Sleep. Then go to the store I guess to get some food."
"That's boring, go to the pool or something."
She shrugged. "We have two weeks right? Besides we don't want to starve.
"True," she said and then shrugged. "I'm off."
"Have fun," she said and then sat down on the couch for awhile. She was already warming up, she thought. She still had a chip in her shoulder, but she sensed some of her old self back in her. She just hope that every part of her old self will resurface on this trip.
"Wanna go to the pool or something?" Justin asked as he jumped off the railing.
"Nah, I'm probably gonna take a nap soon. Don't forget we have to go to the store."
Justin groaned. "I hate grocery shopping."
"Sucks I know, but we gotta eat."
"Hmm, I'll pay for a third for the grocery if you go without me?" he suggested.
"Justin, I'm not going by my..."
"I'll pay all of it," he said bluntly.
"Can I get you anything in particular?" he said with no hesitation as he grinned up at him.
He laughed. "Just cereal and I'm happy."
"What kind?"
"Capn' Crunch is cool," he said and then his eyes focused on something and then widened. "Woah baby."
"What?" JC asked as he followed his gaze.
"I just found another reason why I like baby blue," he said with a whistle as he watched the woman walk to the beach. Her back was to him, so he couldn't see her face but the way she walked and her long jet black hair blowing in the breeze was enough to catch his attention.
"Nice," JC agreed with a nod. "Well, don't just stand there, go get the baby blue chic."
Justin grinned. "Good idea," he said and ran inside to change in his swimming trunks.
JC let out a chuckle. "Guy's a nut," he mumbled to himself and then let out a sigh as he got up and walked inside to take a well deserved nap.
As soon as JC's door shut, the one next to it opened and Marron walked to the railing to enjoy the fresh air.
Justin ran to his room and spent a good three minutes rummaging through his suitcases for his swimming trunks. He forgot which one he packed it in. When he finally found it he quickly kicked off his shoes tore off his shirt and yanked his shorts down and then pulled his swimming trunks over his hips. He slipped on a pair of reef flip flops; put on his shades; grabbed a towel and ran out of his room. "Later C," he called out as he opened the door.
"Oh hey Justin," JC said quickly.
He paused. "Yeah?"
"You can walk out the patio you know," he informed her. "A lot quicker."
"Ohh, right," he said and then shut the door and ran through the living room towards the patio.
"Have fun," JC said as he walked back to his room for his nap.
Justin swung the door open and quickly slammed it shut before hurdling the railing and landing on the soft grass and trotted towards the beach.
"Jeez," Marron said when she saw the man come out of the room next to hers. "Someone's in a hurry." She then shrugged and walked inside to take her nap.
Justin walked down the boardwalk and then down the wooden steps and made his way to the beach trying to keep his eye out for his baby blue girl. The condo they were staying at had blue and white umbrellas and lawn chairs set up in a long straight line. "Great," he mumbled. "She could be anywhere."
He just decided to walk along the umbrellas like he was taking a stroll on the beach but casually study each person under the umbrellas. He saw newly weds lounging under the shade with their hands clasped together. He saw families wit kids running around playing in the sand. He saw one family that suckered their dad into burring him. He laughed when the dad's head peaked up and sipped the drink that his wife held out to him while his kids were giggling and patting him in the sand. He finally reached the end of the umbrella, but there still was no baby blue girl. "Damn," he whispered and then shrugged it off and walked towards the surf. 'Oh well,' he thought. "I'll run into her...." He froze in his tracks as his eyes fell on the girl wading in the ocean. "Eventually," he finally said as his jaw dropped.
She was waist deep and the suns reflection off the water glistened around her. She was still too far away to make out the color of her eyes, but he could tell he liked what he saw. She pushed her wet hair out of her face as she began to walk up to the shore. 'Shit,' he thought as he swallowed the lump in his throat. 'She's coming this way.'
Ashley ringed out her wet hair and then flung it behind her as she trudged to shore. Out of the corner of her eyes she saw a man standing there gapping at her. His head was shaved and even though he was wearing sunglasses she could tell he was looking right at her. She then decided to have a little fun, so she smiled softly as she walked up to him. "If you stare like that for a long time you'll get stuck that way," she informed him and was about to walk away, when his hand came out and grabbed her arm. "Hey!" she said in shock. "That hur..."
"It's you," he said angrily.
"Huh?" she asked in confusion. "What's me?"
"The sex--ahem...the bitch," he said as he tore off his sunglasses. "At the airport." Ashley gasped when she saw Justin Timberlake glaring down at her. "That was you?? You're the prick??"
"Prick?" he asked angrily. "Why am I a prick when you were the one that snapped at me?"
"I didn't snap at you," she said as she tried not to be aware of how fascinating his bare chest was. She shook her head. "I don't have time for you, pretty boy," she said angrily and then started to walk off.
"Pretty boy??" he repeated as he kept up with her. "Princess, you have no idea."
She stopped and looked up at him. "Princess? What the fuck is that?"
He shrugged. "You act like you're the queen of Sheba, I might as well call you a princess."
"Screw you," she said angrily. "Leave me alone and go bug your other pop princess."
He angrily grabbed her wrists and spun her around so fast that she stumbled and ran into his hard chest. "Don't you EVER bring Britney into this, you got that?"
She felt her heart begin to race at the feel of him against her and the way he was looking at her made her scared almost. He must really love her, she thought as she tried not to notice his warm breath fanning her lips. Because she certainly pushed a button. "Just leave me alone," she whispered angrily and waited for Justin to ease up. When he finally did, she pulled away and walked back over to her umbrella.
"See ya around, Princess!" he called out to her.
"Don't count on it, pretty boy," she yelled over her shoulder and gave him that special finger.
Marron pushed her shopping cart down one of the frozen food section of the grocery store as her eyes peered into the glass refrigerators. She stopped the cart and walked further ahead and left the cart there since there were too many people there at the time. She bit her lip as she tried to find her favorite flavor ice cream with her favorite brand, which was Ben and Jerry's Mint Chocolate Chip.
She was so distracted by what she was looking for, she didn't notice that the people around her had left and a man came around the corner and was walking her way. The man was looking on the other side of the isle in search of a certain food product as well.
JC had a craving for ice cream for some reason and then that craving turned to a specific flavor. Cookie dough. He stopped right behind Marron, but his back was to her and he continued to look for his flavor. When he didn't find it he turned towards his left to look at the other side and Marron turned to the left too and they had swapped places without even knowing it.
"Ah hah," the both mumbled at the same time and opened the door and got the flavor they were looking forward. They both turned around but this time JC went to his right and Marron went to her left and the ran smack into each other.
"Oh," Marron gasped when she ran into someone hard causing her tub of ice cream to fall.
"Not again," JC mumbled as he bent over to pick up the ice cream she dropped. At least this woman stayed still, he thought as he put on a smile and straightened up. "Sorry about that but...." He froze when he notice it was the same girl from the airport.
Marron sighed as she kept her gaze down and ran her fingers through her hair. "No I'm sorry, I seem to have a problem with..." She froze when she finally looked at him.
"It's you," they both said at the same time.
JC let out a nervous laugh. "We're making a habit out of this it seems like," he smiled as he handed her the tub.
He still had on shades and a hat, she thought as she studied him. Weird. "Yeah," she said shyly as she took the tub from him. "Sorry about that."
"It's okay," he said with a smile.
God that smile! she screamed inside of her. "Um... well, sorry again," she said as she started to walk away.
Man, she had pretty eyes, she thought. And those lips were so damn kissable! He cleared his throat. "Yeah," he said with a smile. "Maybe I'll bump into you again sometime?"
She managed a laugh. "With us you'll never know I guess," she said shyly and then smiled. "Bye."
"Bye," he said with a grin and watched her walk away. He definitely wouldn't mind running into that again, he thought and then flipped his tub in the air and caught it and whistled a happy tune as he walked back to his cart.
JC picked up the note that Justin had left for him as he dropped the grocery bags on the counter.
C, I came back to see if you wanted to hang by the pool, but you weren't here. Guess your at the store. How much was it by the way? You better not have went overboard.
JC looked at the seven bags of grocery's and chuckled with a shrug and read on.
Anyway, I'm at the pool if you want to meet me out there when you get back. -JT
JC crumbled up the paper and threw it away and decided to quickly load up the groceries and meet Justin out on the beach. He was as white as he could be and he needed a good tan. After the last food product was put away he trotted back to the room to put on his swimsuit.
Five minutes later he was ready to go. He walked out of the balcony and went around the corner of the building where the pool was located and smiled when he saw the view. The pool was beautiful. It was equipped with a swim up bar and a nice little waterfall that glided off big gray stone boulders. The pool was pretty crowded, but he wasn't worried about getting bothered too much, because most of the guests were young families our newly weds. He roamed the area as his eyes searched for Justin. He kept walking around as he looked for a shaved head and then all of the sudden heard Justin calling him by his real name.
"Josh!" he yelled so no one would recognize him.
JC smiled as he turned towards his voice. Whenever they were in a large crowd they would always call each other by different names. They would call him Josh and JC would call him... "Randal!" he yelled with a grin and laughed as he made his way to Justin.
Justin smiled and then his eyes widened. "Dude, watch out for that la..."
"Wha?" he asked as he turned straight ahead and bumped into a girl right when she was taking off her shirt to reveal her swimsuit.
"Ahh," she shrieked as she fell backwards landing on the cushioned lawn chair behind her.
"Oof," JC grunted when he landed right on top of her. "Couldn't be," he said with his eyes closed and then opened them and sighed when he saw the familiar face. "It is...man we gotta stop making a habit out of this."
Marron was in shock. One minute she was taking off her shirt and the next minute she had JC Chasez lying flat on top of her. "What?" she asked in a daze. "Make a habit out of what?"
He looked at her weird and then realized that she finally recognized her and then laughed. "Ohh, you didn't recognize me then....I'm the idiot that keeps bumping into you."
Her eyes widened. "That was you? In the airport?"
"Uh huh," he said with a grin.
"And at the store?"
"Yep," he said with a chuckle.
"Oh," she said breathlessly. "I didn't realize...I mean...."
"Man, I tried to warn you C," Justin called out when he finally ran up to them.
JC looked up at Justin. "Hey J," he said with a smile. "Meet the girl I keep bumping into."
"Literally it seems like," Marron laughed.
"I'm lost."
JC grunted as he finally pulled himself off of Marron and then held out a hand for her. She blushed slightly and took it as he pulled her to her feet. "This is the girl that I ran into at the airport."
"Really?" he asked and then let out a laugh. "Seems everyone's going to the Bahamas, I ran into Sexy bitch today."
"You didn't," JC laughed and then turned to Marron. "He had a encounter at an airport too with some girl and didn't hit it off."
"Oh," she said shyly and managed a smile. She didn't know why she was so shy, but she couldn't believe she was standing her talking with Justin and JC from NSYNC.
"Since we keep running into each other I might as well ask you your name," JC said with a soft smile.
"Oh, my name's Marron," she said and smiled back. "Marron Kennedy."
"That's pretty," JC said and then let out his hand and squeezed hers when she took. "Nice to meet you, Marron."
"You too," she said as she smiled genuinely at him.
"The baldy over here is Justin," JC said as he pointed his thumb at him.
"Hey!" Justin exclaimed. "I shave my head to get away from nicknames like 'Froboy’ and 'Curly’, and now it's 'baldy?'"
Marron let out a laugh. "Well, at least you can call JC 'Froyboy' now with that hair," she said without thinking. JC's jaw dropped and Justin started laughing and Marron blushed. Did she really say that?
"I like her already," Justin chuckled as he patted JC on his back.
JC laughed and then noticed Marron turning red. "I swear I'v'e never seen a woman blush so much."
She turned five shades of read which only caused Justin and JC to laugh more. "I'm sorry," she said letting out a nervous laugh. "I'm must kind of shy at first with people."
"That's okay, I'm shy myself," JC said with a wink.
"Shy?" she asked and laughed. "You perform in front of millions and you're shy."
"When it comes to girls he is," Justin chimed in and then grunted when his friend elbowed him in the gut.
"So, who are you here with?" JC asked.
"That's his way of asking you if you're here with a guy," Justin teased.
JC elbowed him again but harder this time. "Dude, do your self a favor and shut up."
Marron just laughed when Justin rubbed his bruised belly. "No, actually I'm here with my sister. I left the boyfriend at home."
"Oh," JC said as he felt his heart drop with disappointment. He should have known a woman like Marron would be unavailable.
Marron thought she heard a hint of disappointment in his voice but she ignored it. Don't be stupid, she told herself. Why would he be interested in someone like her. Besides, last time she heard he was dating Bobbie.
"Are you here on vacation?" Justin asked to keep the conversation going. He could feel a awkward silence start to form after she informed JC she had a boyfriend so he wanted to change the subject. He could tell JC was upset about it.
"Kind of," she said. "I work at Sea World in Orlando and I got an opportunity to come up here and study wild dolphins."
"Really?" JC asked impressed.
"So you're from Orlando?" Justin asked.
"Yes to both questions."
"So is this like a temporary thing or something?" JC asked not quite understanding yet.
"Depends on how well they like me and how well I interact with the dolphins," Marron explained. "I've worked with the dolphins at Sea World, but I've never had a hands on experience working with wild dolphins."
"That's awesome Marron," JC said with excitement as he noticed the sparkle in her eye when she talked about her work. He knew how she felt, because people say that he has the same look when he talks about music.
"Yeah, that's pretty cool," Justin said. "Good luck with that."
"Thanks guys. So... um, what about you two? Here with the rest of the guys?"
JC put a hand on his hips. "Why? Lance your favorite or something?"
Marron laughed at his joke. "Lance is a nice guy but....no," she said and then laughed.
"Well good, cuz he ain't here," Justin laughed. "Stuck with just us...sorry kid."
Marron smiled at them. "I can manage. Oh, I see my sister... she's about your age Justin, would you guys like to meet her?"
"My age huh?" Justin asked as he wiggled his eyebrows. "Lead the way."
