Chapter Five
He couldn't even see out of his eyes as he laid in the hospital bed, covered in bruises and cuts. He could hear the drip from the IV due to the dead silence of it all. He only knew it was night by the dim feeling her felt upon his sore skin. Moving hurt, his body ached more then ever but none of it compared to the pain in his heart as the scene from a week ago. The car, their kisses, their bodies, her screams, his screams.  Justin only had one wish now in his life and only one thing to look forward to... death.

-----------------------------------------------------

Raquel pushes Heather's hand off her head, knowing she was trying to comfort her but not wanting to be touched. She loved JC's family, especially his sister but she couldn't take it any more. Justin, only a room over hated her and her one love, JC laid in front of her always asleep and resting. He was hurt bad enough, so bad they were post-poning the tour.  She couldn't help but think "this is all my fault" over and over again in her head as her right hand held onto JC's endlessly. She wouldn't budge and the doctors stop trying after she literately sat on the floor because they removed her chair, still clinging to his hand.

"He'll wake when he heals more," Heather says softly, lowering down so eye level with the distraught brunette. Raquel looked nothing like herself with raw cheeks, chapped lips, the same smelly clothing and oily hair. She wouldn't leave to eat, to drink, to sleep. She wouldn't leave his side since the police arrived at the scene for a break in call they got by JC's home security system.

Raquel slowly turned her head, her eyes cold and lifeless as she simple whispers softly, her voice cracking. "Please... just don't."

-----------------------------------------------------

It almost seemed amazing to everyone at the recovery the two boys made though the best doctors money could buy could explain the reasons why it happened. Both were lucky to have no broken bones though internal bleeding, bruises, muscle tares and even some plastic surgery on Justin's left hand did occur.  Needless to say, they both were still sore but walking, some dancing, and singing was no problem once again. They did their best to stay away from cameras at all coast and they had learned to grunt words to each other but that was just the good side of things.

Raquel and Justin ended but on Raquel's terms surprisingly. Justin fully blamed JC though she protested and insisted she fell for him and that she was the one to prosue him. Justin though, like the saying goes, was too blind from love and refused to believe she did it.

JC proposed to Raquel on his ninth day in the hospital only to get her crying reply of "yes". His family, while disappointed in what happened was over joyed. They were gaining a new daughter and losing their son... finally.

In the two months Justin and JC could barely look at each other, neither quick to forgive. JC hurt by his attack and his throwing Raquel against a dresser in rage. Justin devastated over the loss of his love and the betrayal of a brother.

It was beginning to look hopeless and like an end to everything...

-----------------------------------------------------

Raquel packs JC's suitcase, looking over at her fiancee as he stands by the window of their house, looking out at setting sun, obviously lost in thought as he had been as of late. She wished she could do something but she knew she did more then enough already and all she could do is wait, wait for him to make the move.

"Don't pack any underwear..." he mumbles, crossing his arms over his chest a bit to comfort himself some. Raquel looks up, rolling her eyes some as she pulls a pair of his boxer-briefs out, throwing them at his head.

"You need to stop buying new ones daily and just WASH some!" she smirks, laughing softly as they land on his head. However JC wasn't amused as a hand came up, pulling the cloth down, letting it fall to the floor.

"Quit it."

She pouts a bit, sighing as she pulls the rest of the boxer-briefs out. Her brown eyes lower, staying on the suitcase as she lets him go through his motions. She knew he would soon go down stairs, get a beer, drink till drunk then crawl back into bed with her.
