Chapter Three
It had been a week since Justin had returned from Hawaii and Raquel was doing everything in her power to avoid him. Not because she was upset at him either but because a feeling of overwhelming guilt ran through her veins. She doesn't regret the kiss between her and JC nore all the others that have followed it in the time since but she does feel bad knowing if Justin finds out he'll not only be ruined but it could jepordize his and JC's career. She honestly didn't know what to do anymore.

She did however move back into her and Justin's house, finding it for the better since Lynn had called her and said that Justin needed her at least as a friend. Lynn always had a way of making Raquel feel guilty and go back to Justin as support or more. Everytime they broke up it was Lynn and JC who forced the two back together and while she always assumed they did it for the right reasons now she began to question that. JC was IN love with her and admitted to being that way since the first day they met. Lynn thought of her as a daughter and Raquel felt of her as a mother though she knew Lynn would do anything for Justin's happiness... but what about her own happiness?

Just thinking about all the chances of what everyone's intentions could be was driving Raquel up a wall and hearing Justin and Wade in the house wasn't helping. Wade had come in from LA after Justin had went there for a few days to work on a song. Raquel wasn't allowed to hear any of it yet for he had left her a note on the guest room door, the room she was staying in stating she was to stay out of the basement which was the sound studio so he could work on a song for her, about her, and what he felt.

Justin wanted it to be perfect, almost too perfect and was beginning to drive Wade insane on his very intense desire for perfection on this song. But his reasons were noble, he wanted her back. This was his way of appologizing, saying I love you, and you're my everything to her in the only way he knew anymore how to express things. Music was his outlet in life and it was going to save him again.

-----------------------------------------------------
Maids were something Raquel was iffy on trusting so they only had one come in once a week usually on Monday's so they could start off clean for the week and Raquel would walk around cleaning more through to week to keep it tidy. Today, being a Thursday, Raquel was doing just that in the kitchen. She was too busy thinking to do anything else but clean.

"ugh..." she mumbled as she scrubs the kitchen tiled island, working the grease and grim from a huge dinner she had cooked with Wade and Justin yesterday off the counter-top. She was so involved in her cleaning she hadn't noticed the figure in the window who was walking over to the back sliding glass doors only to open and walk in. "Stupid stupid... grease... eww" she continues to whine and groan as she cleans.

"Why don't you stop that for now," a familiar voice says, breaking her attention. Raquel's head quickly shot up and she gives a small smile, looking at Wade curiously as he stuck his hands in his pockets, rocking a bit from toe to heal. She swore by god that boy never stood still.

"Alright.. why?" She asks curiously as she reluctantly puts down her bottle of sprayer and cleaning cloth, staning up straight.

"Because Justin has something planned. Just do it please. If its really bad I could pay you for doing it..." his voice trails off as he lowers his head, rocking more on his heals.

"No... I owe him to at least... try it.." she sighs softly, reaching for the ends of her big yellow cleaning gloves. she carefully pealed them from her arms, setting them down on the counter as well before grabbing a rubber band off her right wrist and reaching back. Her hands collect her hair, pulling it up into a messy bun to be secured with the rubber band before she walks around the island to Wade, following him out.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Justin stands back from the table covered in rose pettles and lit candles, smiling at his successful work before walking over to one of the chairs. His guitar had been leaning against one of the table legs but his hands picked it up carefully, pulling it onto his lap as he waited patiently for the door to open.

"Wade," Raquel asks as she reaches out, touching his arm to stop his walking as they reach the garage door. She lets him stop his walk and turn facing her before she begins to talk again. "Will I like what happens next?"

Wade sighs, shaking his head a bit before leaning forward, kissing his friends forehead gently before pulling away, pointing to the door. Raquel gives a little gulp, closing her eyes for a second before stepping towards the door. She reaches out and takes the knob in hand, slowly turning it and opening the door. She breaths in deep, opening the door only to stand in its door way in surprise. Justin looks up, looking at her nervously before he begins to strum his guitar slowly.

"Just..."

"Shh. Come in and have a seat," he interrupts as he continues to strum the guitar in a soft sad melody.

Hesitantly Raquel pulls from the doorway, shutting the door behind her lightly before walking over to the table. Her eyes take in everything as a slight smile plays over her lips. It wasn't like Justin to give her an order or do something so sweet as a dinner at candle light but she knew he was trying to make up for his mistake.

"
There's a thousand words that I could say to make you come home. Oh, seems so long ago you walked away... and left me alone. And I remember what you said to me, you were acting so strange. And maybe I was too blind to see that you needed a change."

Raquel's heart drops at the words and tone of his voice as he begins to sing. Her hand reached out for the chair, pulling it from the table slowly as she carefully listened to him, taking a seat across from him.

"
Was it something I said to make you turn away? To make you walk out and leave me cold. If I could just find a way to make it so that you were right here but right now.. I've been sitting here, can't get you off my mind. I've tried my best to be a man and be strong. I've drove myself insane wishing I could touch your face. But the truth remains..You're gone.. You're gone.. Baby you're gone Girl you're gone, baby girl, you're gone.. You're gone.. You're..."

Raquel sighs softly, lowering her head as she closes her eyes for a few seconds before looking up at him. His blue eyes were closed as he sings the song with all of him.

"
I don't wanna make excuses, baby Won't change the fact that you're gone. But if there's something that I could do won't you please let me know? Time is passing so slowly now guess that's my life without you. And maybe I could change my every day but baby I don't want to. So I'll just hang around and find some things to do to take my mind off missing you. And I know in my heart you can't say that you don't love me too. Please say you do Yeeaah.... I've been sitting here can't get you off my mind. I've tried my best to be a man and be strong. I Drove myself insane wishing I could touch your face but the truth remains you're gone.."

She bites her lip as he slows the melody a bit, continuing on until the song finishes. But he doesn't stop strumming as he opens his eyes and looks over at the guilty tearful Raquel. He gives her a nervous smile as she slowly stands from her seat.

"Don't go," he calls out. His hands leave the strings and he slips the guitar off his lap onto the floor carefully before standing. Raquel crosses her arms to comfort herself, looking at him hopelessly.

"Justin.. I'm sorry just..."

"No. No sorry's. No forgive me's. Let's just try for this again please," he pleads with her as he slowly steps around the table to her. Raquel bites her lip nervously before nodding her head. Justin smiles widely as he walks over, wrapping his arms around her, holding him to her.
