This is one the most beautiful sunsets i've ever seen over Ruapehu and Ngauahoe (Nar-a-ho-ee, feck knows why that G is there) People where litterally stopping just to stare until the sun set, it was so awe-inspiring. Of course, it never shows as well in photos, but the basis is there.
