'Young Aussies mental problem'

Young adults are more likely to develop a mental illness like depression, the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare has found.  Well this is not entirely surprising given what is below.  Here goes.

'Genetic link to suicide:  study'
A genetic mutation which increases risk of suicide has been found by researchers in Canada.

'Hormone therapy linked to cancer'
US researchers have found that women taking HRT with oestrogen and progestin have a 40% greater risk of contracting breast cancer than those who don't.

'Book claims men rape to reproduce'
What does this say about the author?

'Pokies swallow punters' money'
Hmmm.  Spending on gambling has doubled as pokies breed in hotels and casinos.  No kidding.

'Why do we cry? - still no answer'
Boo hoo boo hoo.  Maybe its because we read too much?

Wine not fine for expectant mums'
An unborn baby's brain and central nervous system is at risk should a women drink even small amounts of alcohol while pregnant.

'TV 'stunts young brains''
Good thing 2 year olds can't read.

'Egg bank waits for Mr Right to arrive'
So what is it about highly paid single Victorian women?.  Why not Darwin's women?

'Feeling fat?  Lose weight slow steady'
Bugger.

'Aussies delay home buying'
Young people are apparently waiting until marriage and children.  Silly fools.  Obviously the financial planners are getting through - not.

BUT ALL IS NOT LOST

New technology is allowing scientists to explore the subsurface biosphere ie under the sea bed, honey from a common tree in New Zealand has antibiotic and healing properties that may fix ulcers and now there is a trial in the US to test whether vitamin E and selenium can really help with prostate cancer.  Phew.
