C. 'Onlooker rescues hot dog'
No, this story is not what you think. Not even a hint of a long grasser nor a rubbish bin. Quoting from the Northern Territory News - 'During filming of the series Animal Hospital in Darwin yesterday, real-life drama began unfolding with the rescue of a distressed dog locked in a car'. Later in the evening, to the tune of 'Two Little Boys' Rolf Harris was heard to sing 'Did you think I would leave you frying, when there's room on my ute for two.......'
D. 'Bingo kicks up a stink'
Not content with displaying their all for a calendar, Pine Creek residents have found another way to grab attention - 'Cow Pat Bingo'. A field is set out in a grid and if the cow drops on your square...... Timber Creek also tried for the 'taste' award with a fresh donkey leg throwing competition to win a donkey skull with one tooth painted gold.
E. 'Jagger's lip balm.......'
Mick Jagger has registered his name as the trademark for a range of 'beauty' products. Wonder what is second prize.
F. 'Fetch the beer and the cheque'

They can't both be true, can they?
Aussies run riot as India crushed Indians run riot as Aussies crushed
Story 1 - preliminary rounds of the one-day international series in Adelaide. Story 2 - Under 19 World Cup semi-final. The margin in game 1 was a 'thumping' 152 runs while in the second it was just '170 runs'. Story 1 got a page in the Northern Territory News while Story 2 got one line in the sports results table. I wonder how the stories went in the dailies of Calcutta, Mumbai and New Delhi.
