Ash has a cultured heritage to live up to.  His family, hailing from a little known country in the Middle East called "Egypt", has instilled in Ash the desire to play soccer from a young age.  This country called "Egypt" is mostly sandy desert apparently, so playing as a 'keeper on Regina's usually windy and bumpy dirt fields was no problem for this capable shot-stopper.  There are surprises with Ash however.  Ash has another side to him when he's playing net, which he usually shows in the form of annoyingly ridiculing his opponents and teammates alike.  This taunting usually ends up in his favor, although there have been a few incidents that have earned Ash a swift kick in the arse... However, in general Ash is a goalkeeper you love to hate if your his opponent, and a goalkeeper you love to love if you're... well we won't go into his relationship with his defenders.  The point is that Ash is a good 'keeper.  He also likes long walks in the park, reading Orwell by the fire, keeping in shape through a healthy regiment of smoking and drinking before and after games, as well as using his strange Egyptian power called "jumping" which he uses in games to stop impossible shots.  In this manner, Ash has become an invaluable part of Fianna F.C., both as a 'goalie' and as a friendly ambassador to those other 'foreign' imports on the team who see him as a token of goodness.  Who knew he would fit in so well?  I guess we think of him as the one who was never there before and now he is.
