Fabio Fiorito

AKA: "Connected One"
        "The Link"
        "The Clarifier"
"Two Wrongs Do Make a Right"

Position: Anywhere in Midfield/ Taking the soccer ball away from you as you stand there in amazement at his tackling prowess

Fabio Fiorito knows soccer.  He has grown up playing the world's game since he was a young lad playing on the streets in the "golden Boot" of Italia(Italy for those foolish Anglophiles).  He  lived on the ball-part of the country (Sicily for those with no imagination) because he always liked to be in control and score a few goals.  Fabio's seen his fair share of the world and played the "beautiful game" in a fair share of countries.  He's the midfield puppeteer... the muscle... the tough guy who's not afraid to go down and hit the ground hard after ANY sort of contact.  He doesn't mind getting his fair share of cards as well... usually because of overzealous referees not understanding that if Fabio's yelling in your face but his arms are behind his back... it's ok... he's just arguing his case (anyone at the last indoor shield game Fianna played against the Chargers will understand what I'm talking about).  He will make no apologies for his style or his play... he's Fabio and he'll likely take the ball away from you, so don't sweat it!  Now he's playing for Fianna, after Fianna broke the transfer record ($5... I owed him money for a beer he bought me once at O'Hanlon's) to bring him to the "Queen City" to ply his trade with the green and white.  Well... in truth there's a lot of new faces around the Fianna clubhouse these days... a lot of languages too... It's like a frickin' mini-UN on the field now, with all this representation we're going to have to get those ear-peices those diplomats use in those meetings to understand what we're saying to eachother.  "WELCOME TO THE WEIRDEST SOCCER YOU'LL EVER PLAY, FRIEND... WELCOME TO REGINA!"

Stats: He's Italian-Canadian... 'nuff said... well, he's really good at soccer too.

Goals: Has missed... won't miss for long... he will eventually score.

Assists: To point out to any referee how wrong they were on any call against him or any of his fellow Fianna players... and likely take a card for those points he most politely made while in the referee's face.

Family: Yes... he has one, and he cares to teach his kids the art of the "beautiful game".
