3-5-09. Mr. Wade Smith, I wanted to pass along that my father Gordon Stephens passed away this past Saturday. He wanted me to notify you in the event that this ever happened. My dad was a proud State Trooper as well as a retiree. He has an extended family in the Highway Patrol and I wanted to make sure they all know. If you could please pass this information along to all his Florida Highway Patrol Friends and family. Also in his obituary I asked in lieu of flowers that anyone may make a donation in my dads name to the Florida Association of State Troopers. He was proud of the patrol and wants anything done to help the brotherhood of the patrol in making it better for future troopers.

1-14-09. Lt. Jacobs' requested his remains be cremated. There will be a Memorial Service to celebrate his life. ROBERT WALTER HARMS MAY 13, 1934 - MAR. 18, 2008 Robert Walter Harms, 73, formerly of Vero Beach, FL, died Tuesday at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Dade County, FL and was the son of the late Walter Irving and Frances Hudson Harms. He attended Silver Bluff Elementary, Miami, FL and graduated from Riverside Military Academy, Hollywood, FL and Gainesville, GA. He spent 9 years in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Harms retired with 30 years of service with the Florida State Highway Patrol. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday March 29, 2008 at Garner Church of Christ, 1364 Benson Road, Garner, NC. Surviving: wife; of 44 years Katherine P. Harms, daughter; Holly K. Sonny Guadagni passed away on January 30, 2008, in Ocala after a long battle with cancer. He moved there after retiring. He is survived by his wife Terry. Sonny was stationed on the Turnpike in Dade County and in Troop E Dade County. True to his wishes there was no service or memorial.
