Mr. Chris Wright is the Creator and Proprieter of the FHL. He created the League in 1992 after watching a NHL Pre-Season Game between the Los Angeles Kings and New York Rangers. He had heard of Fantasy Hockey before but didn't use any guidelines to create his version of the League. He presented the idea to his 4 closest friends and the preliminary league of 5 was born, introducing the 5 Founding Members, Mr. Wright, Daniel Huitron, Wayne Cooke, and brothers Chris and Jer Tinsman.
From that point on he continued to run and act as commissioner of the FHL 'til about 1999 when he stepped down and handed the league to Mr. Darren Phillips who in return handed it back just a year later whereas Mr. Wright was re-enstated as commissioner. He acts as commissioner of the league to this day, and continues to make the league better each year. Mr. Wright commenced the plans to build the FHL Hall of Fame in early 2003 and oversaw its construction till its completion. |
