Another good riding weekend. It's just a matter of time until the weather will stop being cooperative...
I went on a quick 2 hour training ride alone on Saturday, because I figured if I went with the team, or the one or two people that actually show up, we'd join up with another group which usually goes up some hills. I don't mind hills all that much, but I lifted weights on Friday, so my legs were kind of sore. I lift weights at the IMA, the atheletic facility at the University of Washington. It's pretty nice for a school facility. Me and Lan even tried archery before lifting. It was kind of fun.
Sunday was another nice day, so Lan and I went for a long ride. We left home and went to the new Redmond Town Center mall. It's a pretty nice mall. Then we took the trail all the way to the university, and then to the Chittenden Locks, where boats enter Lake Union and Lake Washington. Then Lan wanted to go to Golden Garden Park. She had heard that it won some competition as the best beach in the Seattle area (which isn't saying much, to my Southern California beach attitude). Then we rode through some hills on local roads back home. It was 6 hours between leaving home and returning, 4 hours of actual riding around, and about 60 miles.
I look forward to the time we can do 100 miles.
