I should be working on my oral examinations, but I think I'll take a few minutes to enter a new entry in to this journal...
I started to ride into school more often. For the last two weeks, I've managed to commute (at least one-way) 2 days out of the week. That should help me get faster somewhat.
Last Thursday, I had another typical criterium experience. I was lapped twice, but the last lapping happened with only a few meters to go. If I had not been misinformed into thinking that the pack was already finished, I may have tried harder to be lapped only once. But the confusion led to me trying real fast on the next to last lap, so I got too tired. I don't think I was the slowest, however. Most slower people just quit and not finish though.
Yesterday, we had a team meeting. The turnout was kind of low. We did get more free Clif Bars and Clif Shots. They are one of our sponsors, so they give us free 'energy bars' and 'gels'. They are pretty tasty, compared to most other energy bars. We also got more free water bottles.
Some of the training things we talked about made me think that I should try to build some more leg strength. I think I'll try to push a slightly larger gear for longer instead of resorting to spinning.
Better get back to work now.
