Age Restrictions
The Fort Hood Area Habitat for Humanity is bound by the following age restrictions either due to insurance requirements, State/Federal Laws, or both.

Any one under 18 must have a parent sign a waiver.

Once waiver paperwork is completed, parents do not have to remain on site.

Teens will not be allowed to leave the site except with the parent.

If a teen leaves the site without the parent, the parent will be called immediately.

No one under 14 may be on a construction site.

No one under 18 may work above ground level.  That is no ladders, scaffolds or working on the roof.

Teens 14 and 15 can not be involved in major construction.  Nor can they be in the area of major construction.  They can landscape, paint, site clean up, organize materials, load and unload trailer, etc.

Teens 16 and 17 may use hand tools but no power tools.  They may use step stools but no ladders and no scaffolds.  They may not be above 6 feet from the ground.
