“It was this… Oh-oh! To be like this… it was quite strange…”

After getting such useless, conscientious advice about my Glypix thesis, I have decided to ask my favorate oracle, google translation.

The following text represents one full generation of translation from Korean to English and back of my original thesis text.
I chose Korean because it tends to have a low level of fidelity (unlike German and Spanish), a low level of redundancy (unlike Japanese) and few untranslateable errors (like Italian). Note that this is due to the beta-ish-ness of Google, not to the Korean language - which has one of the best, most transparent writing systems around. Although I wonder if there are many homonyms in Korean... In the end, Korean has a distinctly beautiful flavor.
The translation was done in short phrases, and afterwords was moderately heavily edited to increase readability. In the past I have been more systematic about google translation entropy writing (I find a clear procedure pleasing due to the lack of touch and it tends to result in a more prescient text), but I am trying to think more of my readers (it's especially tough to read a text in which the pronouns have no clear reference - we rarely read blatantly ungrammatical sentances. Even this little bit might give you a bit of a headache - but to see what the raw result would have been, try machine translating a bit by yourself...) Anyway, it's another tradeoff between concrete words and audience-manipulating words (like we were talking about yesterday).

Anyway, here is the second generation text. This process (which has been a big part of my life since 2005 or so) is clearly related to the ideas expressed in the project "relay." Do you get what I mean?

There's a quiz after. The answers will show up tomorrow.

Glypix examines beta illusions in compliance with 21 centurial viruses. Automatic information content is propagated by the mesmerizing recreation downtown - delicate pop music in compliance with the blank aesthetics. The fuel is supplied by the imaginary nervous net. The process is based on genetic engineering - imitation, chance, mutation, and sleeping love-rival selection. It creates the highest type of information - the wax-throwing which is living in the movie-like mauling of the other mountain mind - the first true democratic world-wide thinking group, the underground spirit publisher. In other words, today we will create the high computer gun-ceremony with an excessively talkative virtual parallel-circuit on the most progressive handling system - the simple organic human brain. You, the onlooker, represent the joint ceremony of concerned creative processing dealers. Emotion is played by the system in the real picture space that spreads outside. The life of our experimental subject is the same as in the universal equation and when pressed becomes a self-evident click. The Glypix arithmetic is carried out in our colleague network. It uses a living opinion in order to send the secret angry letter. The symbol hangs freely in the limbo of reference and generality in order to arrive without an agreement contract - communication without traffic. It thereby sheds new blood over the troubled logic of creation and it falls blue and drives away. This symbol is the flash point code - not all of us will be able to understand, and the importation company will maul the other immortal mountain mind. We read a probable symbol and the grudge of opinion will reveal that the company forest is living, making the tag-team address diversions, an expression of love in which the logical sense is passionate. Or perhaps there will only be a big metal bin, expanding and unchangingly twisting our surroundings and pulverizing our comfort, like the automatic control now starting the freeze that will last forever. We need you to reason with our simple, kind words, your deep earthly whispers, your shouting electrons, your distant sound readings, your princess distinctions and retaliatory fantasies of riding in a car. Our leading hand shakes the opposite side of the lattice. Our salty love lightning inside evades the censors and swindlers and a flower will bloom in the sad entropy high-fund location. Contemplate this - everyday it sought, it looked, it researched. How do you know when the goods have arrived in the cold region? You know when you say, “It was this… Oh-oh! To be like this… it was quite strange…”

1. How does the “Glypix” symbol avoid the rule of the 21 centurial viruses?
a. It becomes a simulation in the outside picture space.
b. It communicates in a new way – taking advantage of a loophole in the law.
c. It plants some saplings and then lets nature take it’s course.
d. All of the above.
e. Trick question – the symbol is still subject to the rule of the viruses.

2. What is the meaning of the “other mountain mind?”
a. The enemy of the viruses.
b. The “colleague network” - the participants or “onlookers” in the experiment “Glypix.”
c. A simulation of a god-like being.
d. All of the above.
e. Trick question – “the other mountain mind” is “mu” – the meaningless, the empty word.

3. Which of these phrases is a metaphor for entropy?
a. “Our salty love lightening…”
b. “blank aesthetics…”
c. “the freeze that will last forever…”
d. All of the above
e. Trick question – all of the above are metaphors for information.

Like I said - answers tomorrow, moslikely.
I'd love to hear about your reactions to this new text!
