CANADA

I have visited Canada twice.  The first time was in Toronto back in October 1999.  And in Vancouver in May 2006.
I stayed at my friend's house in Etobicoke when I visited Toronto.  I have met lots of Filipinos living there as well.  I did even notice that most of the people at  the Eaton's mall (which was closing down the time I visited) and walking in the streets were speaking Tagalog.  In one of the stores we went to buy souvenirs, this Canadian guy spoke Tagalog and understood what I was saying and I found it really, really weird.  He said he has a long-time Filipina gf (5 years) so that explains it.
My Vancouver holiday was quite exciting.  I was alone for the first few days and I enjoyed every bit of it.  I was able to go to some of the places using my handy Vancouver map that I got from the airport.  It was a really needed break.  And I still want to visit other places in British Columbia like Whistler and Victoria, maybe someday.
