I never thought I'd be watching grown adults trying to stay on a donkey while playing basketball. If you've never seen a game, its quite amusing for about the first 20 minutes. Then its a little boring...............until they bring in the bucking bronco! They save him for the best rider of the day. They play in teams of 4 people and there are no time-outs (except for cleanups!). It was great. The reason we went was that Jay entered and won the coloring contest for the 4 free tickets (saving us $20-28!) and we knew they would announce his name and he got to be the first one to ride on the donkeys. It was pretty fun for the kids (he took two of his neighborhood friends) and I was even mildly amused. Was a great fundraiser for the FFA as the donkeys were from the Dairyland Donkey Basketball program from Chippewa Falls. A long way from home, but I"m sure they were up at our home school in St. Croix Falls at least once or twice. If you have never gone, go once and see for yourself. It was the kind of thing you ought to see at least once, like the circus. If you aren't under 12, the thrill wears off. Or maybe I"m getting old and cynical. Could be. Have a wonderful day!
