With Love All Things Are Possible Part 2 Go to Part 3 Catherine and Vincent arrived at an eight foot by eight foot drain at the end of the park. Vincent told her this is where they go in. The entered the drain and walked about a half of block and came to a dead-end. Vincent we have reached a dead-end. No Catherine look . He touched something on the damp brick wall and it opened to show an iron gate. Vincent opened the gate took Catherine in and closed the wall behind them. Still holding hands Vincent gave her a gentle kiss saying welcome to my world. Catherine was filled with excitement as they ventured further into the maze of tunnels.Vincent was the perfect tour guide along they way. Showing her different passage ways and telling her who lived in certain chambers until they reached his own. Laying down her bag he told this was his chamber. Catherine noticed how nice it was and how many books Vincent had. He noticed her looking at them and said while she is there she can read whatever she likes. He told her reading was one of his favorite pastimes. Taking her hand once again he said let us go meet father who is the overseer of our community and the man who raised me. They walked deeper into the tunnels meeting a few of the people along the way. She met Mouse a young man who was a little strange but nice, Jamie a lovely girl, Pascal the keeper of the pipes and Mary the eldest of the lady dwellers. Each was a little surprised to see her with Vincent but they gave her a very warm welcome. Noticing them holding hands all of them gave Vincent a look of happiness causing him to blush. Father knew they were coming via a message on the pipes. As they entered his chamber good morning father. Vincent, he also noticed them holding hands, how are you? Father I would like you to meet Catherine Chandler a woman from Above. He extended his hand and coolly said how do you do? I am pleased to met you. Catherine took his hand saying the pleasure was all hers. Father could see why Vincent fell in love with her she is a gorgeous woman with the lovely gray green eyes and a beautiful smile. As they exited his chamber he had to admit he saw a lot of love between those two and they made a very striking couple. After leaving father's chamber Catherine said father seems very nice but somehow I get the impression he does not like our relationship. The first stop was the Chamber of Winds. Catherine was amazed at the strength of the wind. Looking at Catherine's face as the wind blew her hair and hearing her laughter tugged at his heart. He told her sometimes if you really listen you could hear people talking above. I used to come here as a child in the afternoon just to hear the sounds of daylight. Sometimes it made me happy as I could hear so much activity going on that I would pretend I was involved in it as well. Other times it made we sad knowing that I could not go Above to enjoy it. Gently taking turning his face toward her, she said Vincent now that we have met through our Bond I can share these things with you. They continued to walk down five maybe six winding tunnels before they arrived at their destination. She looked at the Chamber than and Vincent and said it is absolutely beautiful. What is it called? The Chamber of Falls. There was a waterfall emptying into a large whole in the rocks. The water was so clear you could see straight to the bottom and the eflection off the rocks was breathtaking. Oh my Goodness Vincent who would have ever thought something this lovely existed beneath the city. Catherine this is my special place but while you are here it can be our special place if you like? Oh Vincent I would like that very much. Holding Catherine on his lap at the edge of the falls, they spent about a half-hour taking in the scenery and being together. Realizing it was getting close to lunchtime they did not want to leave but they had a long walk back. He gently laid Catherine on her feet and said will you return here with me this evening. Taking his hand she said Vincent I would love too and they headed for the great hall. Catherine started getting a little nervous the closer they came to the grand hall. When they arrived it seemed as if everyone was already there. Apparently the news traveled extremely fast over the pipes that Vincent had brought a woman Below. Still holding her hand he said good afternoon everyone I would like to all to met Catherine Chandler a woman from Above. She will be spending the weekend with us to get to know our world. I came to the tunnels when I was very small and he took me under his wing like a little sister. We all knew Vincent had dreams of being like other men, falling in love maybe having children but they were only dreams to him, as he would always say. Father gave Vincent more love than the rest of us and we all understood. He can be very protective of him, which you probably already know. I can see that you love him and I have never seen him happier. Catherine when I see him with you I can see in his eyes how he loves you. Still hoping that she will not break his heart. Knowing that this time tomorrow she will be living his world and returning above, father wondered how Vincent would be. Well I guess we have to see. After dinner they went to the falls. They held each other. Talk about what they had wish foraschildren. Both had wished to find a love and live happily ever after. They stayed there until very late in the evening after everyone had gone to bed. Vincent said we had better go now and get some rest. After laying in bed for a while Catherine could not sleep knowing she will be returning above and leaving Vincent . How she wish she could stay forever. Deciding to go for a swim she returned to the falls. Not having any bathing items, she decided to go without clothes. The tingling of the cold water on her bare skin felt wonderful as she enjoyed her swim.. Vincent could not sleep either and knew she would be at the falls. The sight the met him left his spellbound. Catherine was in the waist length water with her back bare to his eyes. Her skin looked like velvet shimmering in the reflection of the water. And he felt his heart skip a beat. Closing his eyes trying to control his desire to kiss the silky softness. Feeling uncomfortable, he was going to return to his chamber when she turned around. She was breathtaking with the type of figure a man only dreams of. Her waist was so tiny the span of one of his hands. Her hair was wet seeming darker brown. Hanging her head she said all right Vincent if that is how you fell. Grabbing the cover off the bed she said she was going to wash up and get dress. Vincent when I return please do not be here. Catherine wait. Vincent you had your final word and she left the room. Through their bond the deep hurt he felt from her was like a knife through his heart. Knowing he caused this pain was too much to bear so he closed off their Bond. Glancing at the bed before he left, he noticed the red stain on the sheets causing the tears to fall down his face.When she returned Vincent was gone. Catherine was so overcome by hurt that she could not think straight. She knew she could stay no longer as Vincent made it perfectly clear he did not want her in his life. She quickly packed her clothes changed the sheets on the bed . Blinded by tears she wrote two letters and left the tunnels. A while later Vincent could no longer take the way they parted so he went to see her. The room was cleaned there was so sight of Catherine and the bed had clean linen. Then he noticed the two notes on the bed one was addressed to him the other to father. Vincent with shaking hands opened his letter:Vincent by the time you read this I would have left the tunnels. Thank you for the happiest two days of my life. I will cherish the time forever. I hope you find the happy life you seek with someone you feel is worthy of your love. I would have given up everything for you had you let me. But you made it perfectly clear you did not want me in your life. I will never regret you being the first to make love to me as it was meant to be. I will love you forever. Be Happy Catherine Vincent crumbled the paper in his large hand broke down and cried. She gave her apartment one last look turned out the lights knowing she would never see Vincent on her balcony again. It took her two hours to get there after stopping for groceries. When she arrived she looked at the beautiful lake ten feet from the cabin the high fence for privacy and said Vincent and I would have loved it here. Catherine you had to stop this Vincent is lost to you now. She opened the windows to let fresh air in , unpacked her groceries and her clothes. After making a pot of tea she sat on her couch and cried herself to sleep. A week led into two, than three Catherine was suffering from a broken heart. She could not stomach food and she couldn�t sleep all of her dreams centered around Vincent. In the tunnels Below the city Vincent was hurting as well. He had went to her balcony night after night for weeks but she was never there. He regretted his decision but it was for the best. He was beside himself with worry about her so he would turn on there Bond but all he got was emptiness. The fourth week Catherine called Joe and requested some additional time off. He gave it too her but he was worried. Is everything all right Cath? Joe yes. I just need to be alone. OK. Keep in touch. She had kept in contact with DR Alcott (Peter) she called him weekly and she asked him not to tell anyone where she was especially Vincent. The beginning of her fifth week away she was awaken by severe stomach cramps. Noticing the stain on the sheet she realized what it was and was glad she came prepared. She took care of her personal needs made a cup of tea drank it and went back to bed hoping the cramps stopped, Within an hour she was awaken be even more severe ones and noticed a larger stain on the bed. Getting worried she called Peter. He was there within an hour breaking the speed limit to get to her. The sight that met him when he arrived brought tears to his eyes. She was curled up in a ball laying on the kitchen floor. Catherine looking up he saw her face. She looked terrible she had lost weight her eyes no longer contained the sparkle they used to and had dark circles under them. Catherine can you make it to the bed. With his help she got there. Catherine spent the next few days getting up getting dressed making a pot of tea and spending hours at their baby�s grave. She was literally killing herself. Peter could not take any more and went Below. He asked Vincent if they could talk in private. Peter is this about Catherine? Yes it is. They arrived at his chamber and he asked Peter to have a seat. Peter told him that Catherine has been at her family�s cabin just outside the city. Vincent she is suffering from a broken heart. That day six weeks ago when you told her she could not live below with you torn her apart. She feels that your love is lost to her and she cannot live without it. Peter I didn�t want her to ruin her life by sacrificing everything for me. I could not have lived with myself. Peter I love her too much she is my life. Well Vincent she no longer believes that. I am really worried about her. She asked me not to tell you where she was. But Vincent I had to. I had spoken to her while she was gone but I did not see her until last week she called me she was ill and needed me. When I saw her it broke my heart. She had lost weight and the sparkle in her eyes.. She hadn�t eaten or slept for weeks. Vincent she was so weak. Oh Peter I would never have thought my decision to let her live a normal life would have been such a strain on her. Vincent there�s more. As I said she was very weak her body wasn�t strong enough. Peter what do you mean? Vincent Catherine did not know until it was too late. What Peter what didn�t she know? I don�t know any other way to tell you this Vincent, five days ago Catherine miscarried your child. Oh God No Vincent fell to his knees in tears letting out a heart wrenching roar. When father arrived at Vincent's chamber he saw his son on his knees in tears. Vincent giving him a hug what's wrong? Father I have destroyed Catherine's life. How? Father she is unable to live without me. She lost our baby all because of me. Peter can you explain? Jacob the day Catherine left the tunnels she felt she had lost Vincent and her life was meaningless. She hadn't eaten or slept for weeks making her body to weak to carry a child. She lost their baby five days ago. Understanding the pain Vincent was going through he decided to ask Peter where she was. She is still at her family cabin about an hour and a half drive from here. Father I must go to her. Vincent you can't the dangers and the risks are too great. I don't care. I have to get Catherine back. I have to let her know I still love her that I want her and I need her with me. Vincent asked Peter what could be done? Tonight I can rent a van. If we leave at night a couple of hours before dawn I'm sure we can make it. VINCENT! Father you cannot stop me so don't even try. Making sure he had packed enough supplies, father said goodbye to his son and they were on their way. As Peter predicted they got there right at dawn. Vincent asked Peter to drop him off at the main gate. He wanted to walk the rest of the way. He did not want Catherine to know he had come just yet. Peter said Vincent you are doing the right thing. Cathy needs you more than she had ever needed anything else in her life. Take care of her and yourself bring both of you back to us. Peter I will no matter what I have to do. She had her hair in two braids, she was wearing a red T-shirt and a pair of jeans she had lost weight but she had never looked lovelier. She walked to a really pretty rose bush plucked to roses one red and one white and walked to the edge of the lake. Sitting down she laid the roses gently on the side of her. When he saw that she had placed them on the tiny little grave of their child he cried. Than he heard her talking. Good morning baby mommy is here. Did you miss me? I gave you some really pretty roses this morning. Tomorrow I'll give you some daises. I don't know if you were a girl or a boy you were too tiny but mommy loves you very much. Had you lived I would have told you about your father. I know you would have been as beautiful as he is. I still love him and I always will. I could never love again he was everything to me my baby. He doesn't know about you but he would have loved you too. Baby , mommy will spend the day with you again just as I promised but it's a little chilly. I get my sweater and than we can spend the day together by the lake. Mommy will be right back. When she got up Vincent was able to see her face. Peter was right, she did not look well. Her lovely gray green eyes have lost the sparkle he loved so well; they had dark circles around them and were red and swollen from crying day after day. Seeing her like this broke his heart knowing he had done this to her. Before she entered the house he softly called her name Catherine, she turned quickly toward him. He could see the tears starting to flow from her eyes. Catherine holding out his arms she ran to him and cried. Holding her tightly he walked her back to the lake. Is this where is baby is buried?
