When Friendship Turns To Love Part 23 (pg-13) As Catherine and Vincent lost themselves in each other at the falls they missed breakfast and the startling news. The tunnel community had just begun to eat, when Devin and Brigit entered the grand hall arm in arm. Everyone looked their way. Stunned by the sight before them. "Devin Brigit we are glad you decided to join us this morning, father gave them a consenting look as he spoke." "Good morning father, they replied in unison." "You missed a wonderful reception." "Yes I can imagine that is was father." "So what happened to you Devin?" "Father Devin graciously gave me a tour of the tunnels.� �I did not realize your world had such beauty." "Yes there are some lovely places deep in the tunnels." "Brigit I take it Devin showed you the Crystal Caverns and the Chamber of Falls?" "Yes he did." "I have never seen anything more beautiful (other than Devin's body filling mine thinking to herself." "The last time I was here Vincent and I toured the Cavern of the Winds and the hot springs." (Thinking again thanks goodness Vincent did not succumb to my seduction that day at the hot springs or I would never have had the pleasure of knowing Devin's love.) Hearing the serious tone in Devin's voice father knew this was not a joke. "Son my I speak to you in private?" "Of course father." Devin placed a soft kiss upon Brigit's lips and said he would be right back." They walked to the to the entrance of the grandhall for privacy. "I am sorry son but this thing with you and Brigit has happened so suddenly." "Devin two weeks ago Brigit was trying to seduce Vincent and now seeing the way you are looking at each other I wonder did it work with you?� �We were wondering the same thing came Catherine�s voice as she and Vincent arrived at the grandhall.� �Devin Vincent and I happened to walk in on the two of you at the falls this morning.� �I see.� �What happened between Brigit and I was a mutual decision.� �She did not seduce me and I did not seduce her.� Vincent Catherine you two know about this more than anyone else, Brigit and I have fallen in love.� �You what said Catherine?� �We love each other and I am returning to Ireland with her.� �Devin are you sure about this.� �I mean you just met yesterday inquired Vincent?� �Yes we are sure.� �You and Catherine fell in love the day you met eventhough you did not realize it at the time.� �That is true but the bond we share or connection helped stated Catherine.� �Well Brigit and I bonded also although it is not any where like the one you and Vincent share but it is there none the less.� �Is it so unacceptable for me to fall in love?� �No Devin not unacceptable father commented but we all know Brigit better than you do.� �We know what she is capable of.� �I do not want her to hurt you.� �You may be just another conquest to her.� Devin was getting angry again, �can�t any of you give her the benefit of the doubt.� �People can change.� �If she does have an ulterior motive I am a man I can handle hurt and pain.� �I have experienced a lot of it since I left home.� �None of you know this.� �Son I am sorry stated father.� �No we do not.� �All right I will honor your wishes to have a life with Brigit in Ireland if that is what you really want.� �Just remember you always have a home here.� With that statement father left the grandhall and went to his chamber.
