"How long as he been awake Catherine?" Catherine adjusted baby Jacob's blanket to cover her breast before turning toward him. "Not long father." "He is doing just fine." "Aren't' you my love, touching his face?" "Yes father I could never be better." "Waking up and seeing Catherine's beautiful face was all the medicine I needed. "Father do you know what caused my fever?" As he approached the bed, "no son not really." "A couple of the children came down with the flu." " This may have been your body's way of fighting it.' "Whatever it was at least you are better now." "Vincent father, I am going to change baby Jacob while you too talk for a while." Giving Vincent a kiss on the cheek, "I'll be back soon my love and she left." Father took the seat Catherine just vacated and checked Vincent's vital signs. They were great. "Father do you know why Lena has come back?" " We haven't seen or heard from her for over a year?" "No I don't son I haven't had a chance to talk with her." Mary entered the chamber than, "Vincent am I glad to see you awake Vincent dear." " How are you feeling? " "Mary I am just fine." "Thank you." "Good good." " Father I came to tell you that Lena wishes to speak to you on an important matter." " I told her I would go find you." " She is waiting in your chamber." " I will keep an eye on Vincent until Cathy comes back." Giving his son a kiss on the cheek he left. When Catherine returned she and Vincent stayed in his chamber the rest of the evening. They needed to be together. Despite his recent illness, it didn't stop Vincent from making love with his Catherine that night. When morning came he found himself alone in bed. There was a note beside his pillow: Vincent Mary has the baby. Meet me at our special place. Love Catherine Smiling Vincent folded the note. He knew how much Catherine enjoyed making love at the falls. Climbing out of bed, he grabbed his robe and his toiletries and headed for the falls. Last night Lena told father her baby had died. She had buried her earlier that day. She had no family so she asked if she could stay Below to mourn. She told him, she was tried and asked if she could stay in the guest chamber. She would tell him everything in the morning. Feeling sympathetic toward her, father agreed. The next morning Lena was on her way to talk to father when she heard Mary tell him Vincent was at the falls. Turning around she returned to her room and removed her clothes. Pulling her robe over her nakedness she headed to the falls. She didn't talk much with father last night so she had no idea Catherine was living Below nor did she know she and Vincent had a child. She only knew she wanted another child to replace little Cathy and Vincent was going to be the father. If she could play on his sympathy she would have him right where she wanted him. In her bed. Vincent had just climbed into the water when he felt Catherine's presence behind him. Turning toward the back entrance of the falls he saw her. "Hi handsome." " Have you been waiting long and she slowly removed her robe." " Jamie has the baby." "She told us to take our time and began to walk toward him." As always seeing Catherine's naked beauty he wanted her. Getting out of the water, he met her half way. Lena had just arrived at the falls and saw Vincent's magnificent body wet and aroused. She was mesmerized. She couldn't take her eyes off him. He hadn't seen her yet but when he did she was going to make sure it was without clothes. She had just removed her robe when she saw Catherine. Covering herself, "what is she doing here," she whispered. Vincent was so absorbed in his desire for Catherine; he never knew Lena was there. When he reached her, "your beauty astounds me as usual my love." "How I feel when I am near you, seeing you like this is beyond words." "Yes I know my love, I feel the same way about you" He lifted her slender body in his arms never taking his eyes off of her, he carried her into the water. Their desire for each other ignited immediately and they began made love. As Lena watched them, in her hidden corner of the falls, the strength of their passion was so intense she actually felt it. When her body began to react to their passion, she leaned against the outside wall of the falls and release consumed her. Sliding to the floor, she stayed there until the contractions of her inner muscles subsided. Composing herself, she ran to her chamber. Sitting on her bed Lena kept remembering their lovemaking, how it affected her and began to making plans to get Vincent for her own.
