The Right Choice                                   Part 2

Morning came finding Catherine already awake.  She got very little sleep
last night remembering Vincent's words.  Can she survive a relationship
without sex?  Vincent has never experienced it he could not know what he
would miss.  If Vincent and I do not have this part in our relationship
will it last?  What if her desires grow too strong, would he accept her
seeking them elsewhere?  But by doing so she would betray their love.  Oh
Vincent why must our love be so complicated?  She spent the day cleaning
her apartment and rearranging her livingroom.  She did anything to keep her
mind off of last night.  When she was done, she sat in the livingroom and
decided she had better go to her dad's office and clear it out.  His
associate, Tim Mitchell, was going to take over.  Tom had been dad's right
hand man for twenty.  He was Catherine's best choice as a predecessor.
Getting dress she grabbed her purse and keys to go to the office.

Arriving there everyone gave his or her condolences and she went into the
office.  Oh dad this office reminds me so much of you.  I miss you.
Sitting at his desk she began her task.  She stayed until around 5 pm..
Before she left she had some papers to put in the safe.  When she opened
it, she found stacks of letters addressed to her from her father.  Pulling
out the letters she took them home to read in private.

Showered and dressed for bed, she made a cup of tea and began reading the
letters:

Catherine my daughter I know with your mother gone, you have missed
the mother figure in your life.  Being an only child you must have
been lonely.
With my job keeping me so busy I did not have much time for you.  But
my dear
I loved you very much.  I might not have told you often but you made

me proud.

Don't ever regret leaving the law firm to pursue your dreams.  If
there is something
in life that makes you happy, try your best to have it.   Your mother
wanted you to
have a happy life and so do I.  Catherine if you find someone to love
     as deeply as I
loved your mother, go get that love.  True love only comes once.
I will be looking upon you everyday waiting to see you happy.

     I love you

     Dad

As she folded the letter, she began to cry.  I love you too daddy.  Oh Dad
I have found that true love.  I could never love another but he doesn't
feel worthy of my love.  I will take your advice and fight  for the man
that I love and  she broke down into tears.

A little later  she heard the familiar tap on her balcony door.  Drying her
eyes and straightening her appearance she opened the doors.  He quickly
gathered her in his arms.  Catherine why are you so sad?  Lifting her head
to look up at him.  I went to my dad's office today to clear up some things
and it brought back memories.  I went to put some information in to his safe
and I found these. (she left his embrace long enough to get her letters)
dad wrote these to me.  I have never seen them as he kept them locked up.
Vincent he loved me so and wants me happy.  I will miss him dearly and the
tears flowed once more.  Holding her close he lifted her head and lightly
brushed her tears away.  Catherine you have these letters and the memories
of your father.  They will help you through the sadness.  And Catherine I
will always be here for you.  Will you Vincent?  When I need physical love
will you be here for me.  Noticing the look in his eyes, I thought not and
she walked away from him.  Vincent thank you for coming I am fine now you
can return Below.  Catherine I ***never mind I'll be going.  Can I come see
you tomorrow?  No that's good I won't be here.  I'll come Below next time I
am free.  Goodnight Vincent.  Sleep Well Catherine and she could hear the
sadness in his voice.

The next day Catherine called an old acquaintance Elliott Burch.  About a
year ago he had told her he loved her and asked her to marry him but her
heart belonged to Vincent.  She could not return his love. Catherine
Chandler is that you?  Yes Elliot how are you.  Catherine fine it is great
to hear from you.  Elliott I was thinking about you and the last time we
saw each other.  We were not on the best of terms.  I want to put that
behind us.  Cathy so do I.  How about I take you to dinner this evening for
old time sake if you don't have any plans.  Elliott that would be nice.
All right Cathy I will pick you up around 7 pm.  Fine see you than Elliot.
Hanging up the phone I cannot believe I called him. Oh well what's done is
done.  I will go out and enjoy myself what's a harmless dinner.  Going
though her wardrobe, she found a nice blue dress not too sexy and it always
made her feel good.  (probably because it was the color of Vincent's
eyes.).
I can't keep thinking of him.

At 6:50 she was dressed and waiting.  Elliot came at precisely 7:00
Catherine you look beautiful. Thank you Elliott.  Come let us go to dinner.
They ate at a French restaurant.  The food was excellent and they
enjoyed a pleasant dinner.  After they were done eating Elliot asked if
they could for to her apartment for a nightcap.  Feeling comfortable about
the way dinner went she agreed.  He brought an expense bottle of Champagne
and they left.  The conversation was business related on the way back.
