The Power Of Love Part 9 (pg) They had been traveling for about an hour when Vincent felt someone�s presence. Not wishing to frighten Catherine he kept the information to himself. A few minutes later one of the man stopped and faced Vincent. When he got his attention the man looked upward. "We are getting close to one of Paracelus' lookout men Vincent asked?" The man nodded his head. "I already knew a while back replied Vincent. Catherine looking at Vincent questionly, asked "why he didn't say anything?" "I did not wish to alarm my love and I wanted to see if we could trust these two and seems that maybe we can." Lightly touching the soft down on his beautiful face Catherine smiled in understanding and agreement. When they got as close as they could without being seen. Vincent asked "them to wait here he would return shortly?' "Be careful Vincent my love." "I will Catherine and he was gone." A few minutes later he returned. Catherine went to him and wrapped her arms around his waist. "Is he gone?" He returned her embrace. "Yes." Not wanting to dwell on the situation Vincent said they would keep going for another hour than take a short break. After resting and eating a few beef jerkies, they continued their journey deeper into the catacombs. Over the next few hours, Vincent took care of three more men along the way. As they neared a cavern, Vincent remembered venturing to as a little boy, he felt the presence to two individuals but the sense of danger that usually accompanied that feeling was not there. As they move closer to the presence, Vincent's quick reflected reacted and he ducked out of the way just before a crossbow hit his shoulder. Looking down at the weapon that just missed him, he smiled and with tears in his eyes looked up into the darkness "Jamie it is I Vincent." "Vincent," Jamie screamed and jumped down from her perch above the tunnel. She in tears as well ran to mentor and friend and hugged him. "Oh my god Vincent, is it really you, hugging him once more for assurance. "Yes Jamie it is I." "Vincent , it is so good to see you." "We thought you were, so choked up she could not finish her sentence." "I thought the same about you as well Jamie." "Where is Mouse?" Vincent heard a thump behind him and turned around. "Me here my friend, he too was in tears as he ran to Vincent and hugged him." "Me so happy to see you." "Scared everyone was gone." "No Mouse my friend there is still some of us left." "Vincent we heard you were captured by Paracelus over a year ago. How did you get away?� "I found him came the soft voice from the shadows as Catherine stepped into view. "Catherine? "Yes Jamie it is I." Jamie went to her and hugged her, Catherine how did you find Vincent?" After all this time we thought all our helpers and friends above thought we were dead." Catherine looked at Vincent a moment with all the love within her shining in her eyes, than returned her attention back to Jamie and replied "Vincent called out to me and I came." "But after all this time?" I don't understand inquired Jamie." "It is a long story which I will tell you later." "Right now we have to find father and the others. " Just know a week ago I felt Vincent call out to me and my love brought me to him." "So you still love him Catherine?" "Yes Jamie I never stopped loving him even after he sent me away." "I am glad." Going to Catherine Vincent placed his arm around her waist. "So am I replied Vincent and he looked into the lovely gray green eyes of the only woman he could ever love." Joining the group "Mouse happy too." Than Jamie saw the two men tied and gagged. Vincent saw where she was looking and replied "that they were leading them to Paracelus." "Can we trust them Vincent, Jamie remembered hitting one with her crossbow during the takeover? "Well so far they have not crossed us commented Catherine." "Good." "Vincent what about the others asked Jamie?" "Well they told us that father, Mary, William and some of the older children as still alive." Paracelus has been keeping father and Mary with him." William has been cooking their meals and the children have been doing laundry cleaning things like that." "The others that were let go are Above somewhere." "The younger children are in shelters and orphanages." "That is about all we know stated Vincent." "Jamie I promise you once we destroy Paracelus and his daughter Megan, Jamie could see the hate in Catherine's eyes when she mentioned Megan, and find father and the others, Peter and I will find everyone else and bring them home."
