"Ms. Megan you are still not going to tell him?" "Hell no he would be furious and you know what he is capable of if he gets angry." Both men remembered being victims of his anger at one time before, the consequences weren't pretty. They still had the scars. "Ms. Megan what will happen if we cannot find him?" She thought a moment and a devious plan entered her mind. "Than we trick him." "How do we do that?" "Its simple one of you gets me pregnant and say the child is his." "We what, they responded in unison?" "You heard me one of you is going to give me a child." "Doing her had no appeal to either one of them." After they had gone Megan took a seat in the battered chair of Vincent's previous prison and thought about having sex with them. It had some appeal to it after all. She hasn't been with a man for almost two years. Not since her "husband" died and her son. That day would haunt her the rest of her life." She began thinking back to when she met Harry and when she met her father. She had left the tunnels when she was eighteen. She had just returned Above the day before. She had stopped by a late night diner to have a small meal before returning to her hotel room. It was very rainy that night; visibly was only about twenty percent. She was running across the street to get out of the rain and not looking where she was going. An approaching car saw her at the last minute. He slammed his brakes on just before he hit her. The streets were slippery and she had fallen. The man got out of the car to see if she was OK. Seeing that she was he asked her if he could assist her home it was the least he could do. She accepted his offer. When the arrived at her hotel room, they were immediately attracted to each other. One thing led to another and they ended up making love. When he left her hotel room the next morning they exchanged phone numbers if they ever wanted to hook up again. A month later Megan found out her one nightstand with Harry resulted in pregnancy. She called him and told him. Feeling obligated he offered to take care of her and the child. Harry owned a small gas station so they were doing pretty good. He brought them a little cottage way out in the suburbs. The only neighbors were a mile away. Megan and Harry lead a private life with their son. Neither had any friends just each other and their little boy. Harry Jr. had turned four and getting ready to enter pre-school. Megan had decided to get a part time job to pass the time while he was in school. She had been secretly meeting with her father's helpers over the years in various secluded places in town since she returned Above. All they would tell her is her dad had plans for her he would let her know when he was ready. The day she saw her father again was the same day her world crumbled. She had met her father early in the morning just at dawn in a secluded spot in the worse end of town. Harry and her son were still asleep and did not know she had left. �He told her he needed her to keep something for him.� He gave her a plastic garbage bag containing a special drug he was working on. �It will make them rich he said.� She did not want to do it but she knew how evil her father could be and reluctantly agreed. �I will get it from you tomorrow.� �Meet me here the same time and he was gone.� After he had gone she immediately went home. When she got there no one was awake. She looked around for something to keep the special powder in. She found an old ceramic sugar jar. After emptying the powder into the container and throwing the bag away, she buried the jar deep inside her kitchen cabinet. She went to get her new sugar jar to leave it out on the counter only to find it empty. Her husband and son loved cereal so she knew she had to get some. She had a job interview that morning and would stop by the store on the way home and pick some up. Her interview went well. She was offered the job. She was so excited about getting it she was going to rush home and tell them than she remembered the sugar and stopped by the store first. When she arrived the scene the met her brought tears to her eyes. Both Harry and her son were lying face down at the kitchen table. She went to each of them and felt for a pulse to her horror there was none. She looked around and she saw it, �Oh god no,� the old sugar jar was lying on the counter with the lid open. They were both heavy sugar users it was apparent they died from a drug overdose. From that day on Megan's mind was never the same. She quickly poured their cereal in the garbage disposal wiped off the table, counters, and put the jar in a plastic bag. After giving Harry and her son a kiss she called 911. � She told them she needed an ambulance two drug overdoses after giving them her address she grabbed her plastic bag and left.� She never returned. She remembered how she hid in the park that night crying in pain. When dawn approached she met her father. She handed him the drug and told him what happened. She returned with him Below. He let her mourn for a week than told her about his plans for Vincent and her part in helping him reclaim the world Below. She began to think back to when she met Vincent. He was a scrawny kid with lionize features. He scared her at first than they became friends. When she came Below he was fifteen she was ten. Her mother had been found dead from a drug overdose. Her mother had no known relatives and she never knew her father. One of the helpers Above found her roaming the streets. She told them what happened and they asked the council if she could come Below . They agreed to take her in. It was there she met her father John Pater now known as Paracelus. She was about twelve and had wondered very deep into the catacombs and gotten lost. Paracelus had been hiding there for eleven years. He was the one who found her. He took her to his hideaway and they began to talk. He knew she was his daughter he had secretly been keeping track of her since the day she was born. He told her never to mention they ever met. It was a secret between father and daughter. She promised him she would never tell. When she left the tunnels at eighteen as her dad asked her to six years before, no one ever knew their paths had crossed. That day she had questioned him about her mother. He told her, her mother was in a similar situation. She was homeless and needed a place to stay. She met Paraceulus when she was seventeen. Anna had been exploring the tunnels alone. She always stayed to herself didn't talk much. No one really questioned her about where she was going only that she was to be careful and make sure she knew the pipe codes in case of an emergency. She had wondered deeper that usual that day. One of Paracelus guard's had found her close to his hideaway and took her to him. He questioned her asking her if she was a spy for the tunnel world. She refused to answer him. He got furious and his evil surfaced. He threatened her with bodily harm but she still refused to say anything. So he made good on his threat. He had his men tie her naked to the bed. He told her if she did not tell him everything he wanted to know he would use her until she did. Her nightmare lasted all day. In the end she had nothing of importance to tell him but she returned to the tunnel world with her virginity gone and swore to secrecy or death. A month later she realized she was pregnant with John Pater's child and knew she had to leave. She left the tunnels a month later telling everyone she wanted to start a new life Above. She had just turned eighteen so they let her go and bid her happiness and success in the journey she was seeking.
