The Power Of Love Part 16 (everyone) When Rudolph arrived at the grand hall, he asked William to make him plates for their prisioners. William advised him to allow him a few moments and he left. As Rudolph waited for their meals, he looked around at the men to see which ones were watching Catherine. To his surprise quite a few were staring at her. She was quite a vision in her yellow evening gown. He had to admit to himself, Vincent and Catherine made a striking couple. Vincent looked dashing in all black and such a compliment to Catherine in yellow. He wished he could be the man holding Catherine in his arms and he felt a stab of jealously strike his heart. When he saw Cullen cut in on Vincent and Catherine's waltz and how he kept looking at her made him see red. Going up to them he asked Cullen if he could have a word with him. "Yes of course, Rudolph" After excusing himself he gently handed Catherine back to Vincent and followed Rudolph out of the hall and into the tunnels. "What could so important Rudolph that you had to interrupt my waltz with the lovely Catherine? "I saw the way you were looking at her and how close you were holding her." The argument started getting heated their voices louder. "No it should be me." "No me Cullen stated again." They went at each other with closed fists at the same time. "WHAT IS GOING ON HERE father yelled." His words stopped them before the first blows. "You both know we do not condone violence in our home." "What could have caused such friction between you two asked father?" 'I am sorry father stated Cullen." "I am as well said Rudolph." "Neither of you have answered my question." "What caused this?" Before they could reply Vincent having left Catherine in Devin's care, came out into the tunnels. "Father is there a problem asked Vincent?" Both man glared at Vincent a moment than turned their attention to father. "We cannot tell you father they replied in unison." "Well whatever it is I hope you can work it out without violence." With those words father returned to the hall. "Would either of you like to tell me what the problem is inquiried Vincent?" "You are the problem Vincent said Cullen." "Yes you are confirmed Rudolph." "What have I done to cause you both such anger toward me and each other asked Vincent?" "As if you didn't know replied Rudolph." "Since I do not would either of you care to enlighten me stated Vincent." "Go back into the hall and look around than asked yourself who deserves more than they are getting." 'You'll find the answer." "With that statement said, Cullen and Rudolph left the tunnel going their separate ways leaving a bewildered Vincent behind." When Rudolph returned to the hall to get Paracelus and Megan's plates, he saw Devin looking down at Catherine as they danced and he definitely wasn't looking at her face." "Dammit, thought Rudolph, seeing Devin discreetly staring at Catherine's cleavage, he wants her too." Thinking to himself you're next Devin Wells." "Rudolph, Rudolph hearing his name, he turned his attention to William. "Here, handing him the plates, their food is ready." "He quickly thanked William and returned his attention back to Devin and Catherine. When he did not move William cleared his throat. "Oh yes the plates." "Taking them Rudolph headed out the hall exit, he was still glaring at Devin and almost bumped into Vincent." With Vincent's quick reflexes he moved out of the way just in time preventing the food from soiling his new ruffled shirt. He followed Rudolph gazed and was surprised to find him glaring at Devin with Catherine." "Vincent realized at that moment his Catherine was the source of their argument."
