The Power Of Love Part 14 (general April 12th had finally arrived. The tunnels Below were busy with tons of activities. William had made the feasts of all feasts. Thanks to the generous helpers above, who knew Catherine very well, they had leg of lamb, ham, and turkey. Scallop potatoes, macaroni and cheese, greens and cornbread. For dessert William made apple and cherry pies and, of course, the huge celebration cake. Everyone was in their best dress outfits waiting for the celebration to begin as soon as the guest of honor arrived, Catherine. Vincent was in his chamber going through his clothes trying to find Catherine's favorite shirt, the white one with the ruffles. When he couldn't find it he summoned Mary over the pipes. "You wanted me Vincent, she asked?" "Yes Mary thank you for coming." "I cannot seem to find my white shirt with the ruffles,� Have you seen it?" "No Vincent I�m afraid I don't know where it is, but this may work just as well, Vincent than noticed the bag she had in her hand, and handed him the bag. "Open it." "This was something I have been working on for a few days. "I hope you like it." When he opened it, inside was a black ruffled shirt exactly like his white one. "Oh Mary this is very nice but you didn't have to go through all the trouble." "Vincent you know how I enjoy making things it was not trouble at all." Noticing the brown suede pants on his bed Mary said "Vincent may I suggest something?" "Of course Mary." �Why not wear your black leather pants they will go well with your new shirt?" "Yes I do believe that they will." Putting his other pants away he took out the black leather ones she suggested. "Vincent I am going to leave now so you can finish dressing, "By the way what time is Catherine coming? "Around 7:00. " "Thank you again Mary." As Mary left his chamber Vincent did not see the satisfied smile on her face. Everyone had gathered in the great hall at 7:00 waiting for the guest of honor Catherine. She and Peter were the last to arrive. She had asked Vincent to wait for her at the hall since she was coming with Peter. When she arrived everyone gasped at the beautiful woman in the yellow evening dress. When Vincent saw her, she fair took his breath away. Going to her, Catherine you look absolutely stunning and he took her by the hand and escorted her to the table reserved for the guest of honor. When Catherine saw Vincent he had never looked sexier, except without his clothes, than he does now. Seeing him so dashing in his black ruffled shirt, tight leather pants and thigh high boots, her desire ignited. Vincent felt it and whispered in her ear, �Later my love, I promise.� After everyone was seated father stood up to make a toast. �Ladies gentlemen and children, today is a special day for all of us." "Almost two years ago our world was almost destroyed." "Paracelus had made our home dark with his evil." "A few months ago a very special woman gave us our life back." "We will be indebted to her always.� �Catherine all the words in the world cannot express our gratitude to you for giving us back our home.� �We thank god every day that Vincent brought you into our world and for the love you have given my son.� �We love you Catherine.� With those last words the crowed cheered. As if on queue the music started, "Catherine Vincent will you do us the honors of starting the first waltz of the evening." Vincent spoke for both of them. �We would love to father,� Slightly bowing before his Catherine, �May I have the first dance my love.� With a smile that outshone all the candles that burned so brightly in the hall, she accepted the hand of the man that she loves. �I would love to sweetheart.� As the striking couple danced around the floor of the great hall all eyes were upon them. They love between was felt by everyone. When father looked at Vincent and Catherine he smiled knowing these two lovely people carry the future of the tunnel world with them. �Jacob why are you smiling so Mary asked?� �I look and Catherine and Vincent and I see that miracles can happen.� �Who would have thought my son would find a woman as sweet, generous and loving as Catherine.� �Eventhough he may have been cheated out of so much growing up different when I look at him and see the happiness and love in his eyes because of Catherine you would never know it.� �She has given him more than any of us could give him in a lifetime.� �It touches my heart deeply.� �Yes Catherine is an extraordinary woman just as Vincent is an extraordinary man.� �They are perfect together are they not Jacob said Mary?� �Yes I have never seen a more perfect couple. � When Jacob took Mary�s hand, she was quite surprise at this gesture, would you like to waltz with me Mary?.� �We cannot let Catherine and Vincent show us up can we.� Mary let out a soft laugh.�No Jacob we cannot and I would love too" and they headed to the dance floor.
