They answered in unison. �They both had pulses, weak but they are there. �Thank god.� Paracelus what did you do to them asked Jamie?� He refused to respond. Megan answered for him. �He gave them his special drug to make them sleep� �Megan how long does the drug usually last asked Catherine?� �Depends upon how much he gave them.� �If it is his usual dose it takes about an hour.� �Is there a place where we can lay them asked Vincent?� �Father has a bed over there in the corner.� Vincent looked over at it appeared to be big enough and clean. Mouse change places with Catherine and carry Mary to the bed.� �I�ll carry father.� After Catherine and Mouse switched places and father and Mary were lying comfortably on the bed Vincent looked them over. Once they were gone Catherine went to Vincent and placed a soft kiss on his lips. �Jamie and I won�t be long.� �I promise.� After saying I love you to the love of her life Catherine and Jamie left for the world above. As Vincent was sitting by the bed watching over father and Mary, Paracules began laughing his evil laugh. �Oh father stop laughing.� �There is nothing funny about this, gesturing to the chains on her ankles and wrists.� Ignoring his daughter�s comment he addressed Vincent. �I was just remembering how easy it was to get you addicted.� �Strong stuff my special powder.� �It was going to make me rich.� Paracelus� words were bringing back the horrible nightmares over the past year and an half Vincent was starting to rage inside. Turning toward him, half roaring half growling Vincent replied, �I could kill you right now Paracelus for all you did to us but I will not make that decision on my own.� �We are a family here as soon as we become one once more, we will decide what to do with both of you.� �Until than those cages are you new home.� Further words were interrupted when father began to stir. �Father can you hear me?� It was barely a whisper but Vincent heard him, �Is that you my son?� With tears in his eyes to took his father�s hand, �Yes father it is I.� Jacob�s eyes fluttered open; it took a moment for his to focus, than he saw him. �Oh god Vincent my son and his father�s tears joined his.� �Oh such a tender reunion between father and son.� � A reunion that should never had taken place if I hadn�t made an error I judgment so long ago.� NEXT |
