The End Of A Dream Part 10 The End Catherine wanting to surprise Vincent, turned off her thoughts as she entered the tunnel entrance Below. Moving very quietly through the tunnels hoping no one sees her. After making it unnoticed to his chamber, he was not there. �This is even better she said.� �I can really surprise him now.� Laying her overnight bag on his bed, she decided to read until he returned. She had been reading only a little while, when she heard a noise at his chamber entrance. Thinking it was he; she turned around only to see Mouse. �Catherine, hi Vincent not here.� �Won�t return for sometime. � �Maybe you go see him?� �Hi Mouse, nice to see you.� �That is a good idea,� closing her book, she returned it to the shelf and followed Mouse. �So Mouse where is Vincent asked Catherine?� �Come this way said Mouse.� � Vincent is in grand hall.� When they arrived at the hall entrance Catherine was suprised to find it so dimly lit especially if someone is there. �Go in Catherine said Mouse.� As soon as Catherine entered the hall, �surprise� looking around she saw all the tunnels dwellers come from various hiding places. William and Kanin where holding a banner that read �Welcome Home Catherine." "We love you.� As tears of happiness formed in her eyes, Vincent went to her immediately and placed a soft kiss on her lips (this did not go unnoticed by the tunnel family and they all smiled). "Welcome home my love and he held her close.� Moving slightly away from her Vincent placed his arm around her waist as she said, �thank you everyone.� � I love you too.� Looking up at Vincent she said how did you know I was here?� �I tried so hard to close our Bond.� �You did my love but it was your heart beating next to mind that gave you away and he smiled.� Father approached her then, �hi my dear, glad to see you are well.� �Vincent had planned on giving you a surprise party the next time you were to come Below so we had everything all ready here.� � It is amazing how fast people can set up a party.� �Vincent felt you coming and the preparations quickly began.� This is so wonderful father. Believe it or not this is the first surprise party I have ever had. Looking at Vincent she placed a soft kiss on his lips and said, � I love you even more for thinking of it.� Having heard this father smiled. When he saw Vincent blush he lowered his head and stepped away, not wanting to intrude on this lovely moment between them. In a few minutes everyone surrounded Catherine and welcomed her back. When Lisa and David approached her, Lisa welcomed her back and introduced her to David. "Hi Lisa David thank you". Taking Lisa�s hand, Catherine said "I owe you another thank you for trying to get Vincent and I back together. " "No thanks are needed Catherine."," Vincent was helping me get my David." "The least I could do was help my big brother get back the woman that he loves.� Smiling at him and returning her eyes back to Catherine she said, I am glad he finally decided to follow his heart.� �It can never steer you wrong and they left.� Taking Catherine by the arm, Vincent led her to a nearby table and the celebration began. Halfway through the party Peter arrived and went to see Catherine. �Cathy dear how are you feeling?� �You look so happy.� �Peter it is so nice of you to come.� �I am feeling great and I am very happy placing her hand across the table to touch Vincent�s. � How did you know about the party she asked?� �As soon as the father knew you were coming he sent me a message.� �I would have been here sooner but you know how it is for a doctor.� �Well dear you enjoy yourself.� �I am going to see Jacob.� �You know how he is about any news in medicine and he left.� As the evening wore on, Vincent and Catherine were the picture of happiness as they waltzed across the dance floor never taking their eyes off each other. The strength of their extraordinary love radiated throughout out the grand hall enclosing everyone within its power. When Vincent felt Catherine�s tiredness, she suggested that they retire to his chamber. Catherine said goodnight to everyone and thanked him or her again for everything. As they headed for the hall exit, Vincent felt it right before it happened; Catherine fainted in his arms. Lifting her he called Peter and father immediately. "Catherine has fainted hurry. " " I am taking her to my chamber.� Vincent was beside himself with worry pacing outside his chamber waiting for father and Peter to examine her. As Mary watched him, he said" this is my fault, I should have felt her weakness." �I should not have let her over do it.� �Vincent you cannot blame yourself, if that was it than you would have felt this approaching through your Bond". �Vincent dear, I do not think that is the reason this happened stated Mary. �Than what else can it be Mary?� �Well I am not a doctor but I think I have a pretty good idea. Tell me please Mary what is it?" Vincent, touching his arms, I do not think it is serious but let us wait on father and Peter. About ten minutes later, they finished their examination and called Vincent back into the chamber. When he entered , he saw that Catherine was awake. Seeing the concern in Vincent�s eyes, she said "I feel fine my love." "There is no need for you to worry." Kneeling by the bed he took her hand and placed a kiss on her lips. Than he looked at both doctors and asked "what made her faint like that?� Looking at both of them, father placed his hand on Vincent�s shoulder and said� Catherine Vincent, although it is still very early in its stage, Peter and I both confirmed it, you�re going to have a baby.� Looking at each other Vincent and Catherine�s happiness became as one and they said at the same time, �are you sure?� �Yes we are sure.� �Than Mary said I knew it.� �Whenever a woman faints like that it usually means only one thing.�� �I am so happy for you both and she gave them each a kiss on the cheek. �Now you two, talking to Peter and Jacob let us leave them alone with their wonderful news. Both Peter and Jacob told them how happy they were with the news and would see them later. Alone with Catherine Vincent looked at her and saw the tears in her eyes match his own. Than Catherine spoke �Vincent how do you feel about it?� �This came as a surprise to you just as it did for me and I know you can feel my happiness.� Vincent did not answer right away and Catherine began to worry but that did not last long.
