| Shared Dreams Part 6 Vincent woke up as soon as father entered the chamber, but not quickly enough for him not to see the obvious. �Father wait,� said Vincent to his receding back. � You apparently know what happened here. I would like to explain.� � Vincent, now you see why I disagreed with the idea of Catherine staying in your chamber.� �We need to talk father. Let me get dress and I will meet you in your chamber.� �Vincent�s what�s wrong sweetheart said Catherine as she began to stir�. �Nothing my love, lightly brushing her hair, go back to sleep. I love you.� �I love you too Vincent, and she fell back to sleep. Slowing climbing out of bed, being careful not to wake her again, he washed up and put on his clothes. Lightly kissing Catherine�s cheek, he said �sleep well my love, I will be back soon.� When he arrived at father�s chamber he was sitting at his desk. �Father, I will get right to the point, Catherine and I made love last night.� �We have no regrets. She needed me and, of course, you know how much I have needed her.� �The distance between us before prevented what happened last night from happening sooner.� �I love Catherine and she loves me. Nothing will ever change our love for each other.� � Whether she is Above or Below, our love is all around us.� � Father, yesterday evening when we are working on the tunnel, Catherine wandered in the tunnels on her own hoping to find the chamber of falls.� � Not familiar with the route to take, she fell into a small water hole. When she tried to climb out, she fell and hit her head.� � I felt her fear father and I went to her.� �When I found her she was unconscious, wet and cold, I returned to my chamber and used my body heat to get her warm.� �This was the dream I told you about.� �Father, I could have lost her last night.� When she came around, our closeness, well you know what happened.� �Vincent I can understand why it happened. That is what I have been afraid of if the two of you were ever alone together in your chamber.� � I know how hard it is when she has come Below and how her nearness effects you.� �But son, you two were careless.� In a situation such as it was last night, neither of you would have thought about being cautious.� �Vincent there could be circumstances resulting from last night neither of you are prepared for.� �Father Catherine and I discussed it this morning. I felt responsible. She told me that we were both responsible for what happened. Father Catherine told me she would love to have my child.� �Do you know how that made me feel?� �Yes son I do.� �I do not think you really do father.� �The only woman I could ever love is willing to give ME, pointing to his chest, a child even with my differences. �Father that would be the answer to all of my dreams.� �And mine as well, came the soft voice from the chamber entrance.� �Good morning father.� � Vincent Mary came to see me this morning after you left and told me you had went to see father.� �She helped me find my way here.� Going to Catherine Vincent took her hand and escorted her into the chamber. � Come my love have a seat.� �As you heard father and I were discussing last night.� �Father what Vincent has told you is the truth.� � I love your son with all my heart.� � Last night was eventually going to happen and you already knew that.� � Father if I am carrying Vincent�s child, I will be the happiest woman on this earth.� � Being able to give the man that you love the most precious gift a woman can give, then I will be blessed to do so.� �Dear Catherine, what if the child is, well you know?� �Looking at Vincent, she said� if our child is as beautiful as its father, I would love that child with all that I am.� Going over to her, Vincent kneeled before her taking her hand. �Yes our child would be beautiful just as you are Catherine.� Smiling at Vincent a moment, she returned her attention to father. �When I go back Above tomorrow, I will make an appointment to see Peter.� If we are going to have a baby, looking lovingly at Vincent, I want to know as soon as possible. I am going to do everything possible to make sure this child is never in danger, starting with my resignation from my job.� �Catherine my love said Vincent, as you sure you want to do that?� �Your job is a very important part of your life.� �Vincent my job meant a lot to me at one time. That was all I really had. I put all I could into working hoping to fill the void in my life. When our path crossed, I found what I wanted and needed in my life, was you. When I fell in love with you, nothing else mattered.� �My life Above changed because of you. I realized the important things in life.� �You made me see them Vincent and I love you for it.� �Now it could be possible for me to give you back as much as you have given me.� I want to give you a child more than anything in this world.� �Father everything will be find.� �Catherine will see Peter tomorrow so we know for sure.� �Right now, we should go to breakfast before the others wonder where we are.� �If Catherine is pregnant, she needs to eat.� � We can talk more later if you wish.� �Vincent you two run along now.
