Memories Part 7 Father escorted Catherine all the way to the grand hall leaving Vincent to trail behind them. He did ask her how she was feeling and told her she looked lovely. She said it was a rough eight months but she was stronger than she used to be (looking back at Vincent who had helped her be strong). They arrived at the hall and Mary is the first to greet them. Catherine dear you look lovely, we are glad to have you back with us taking her from father. Seeing Vincent behind she said come children sit with me. She sat Catherine and Vincent side by side much to father�s dislike. So Catherine how are you feeling? Mary I couldn�t be better looking at Vincent at her side. Vincent has made my return wonderful. I see my child. Noticing how they could not take their eyes off each other ( Mary thinking it seems Catherine and Vincent worked things out). I couldn�t be happier for them. Vincent dear after breakfast why not take Catherine for a walk through the caverns and then the falls? Mary I think I will do just that smiling at Catherine. Father said should you walk so soon after eating breakfast? Father the walk will do us good right Catherine? Yes Vincent it will. The three of them had a nice conversation during breakfast while father barely ate watching Catherine and Vincent together. Their closeness was very noticeable and father knew he had to put some space between them. Vincent asked Catherine if she was done eating. Yes Vincent I am. Taking her hand as he rose from the breakfast table than let us go for our walk. Mary and father we will see you two later. And they left. After they were gone. Mary how could you. What were you thinking by suggesting they go for a walk alone? Have you forgotten what happened with Lisa? Jacob, Vincent was a teenager than. He and Catherine are adults now and they can take care of themselves. Can't you see how Catherine has changed Vincent's life and how happy he is? You should be happy for him. Mary Catherine is going to break his heart. No Jacob she is not. She loves him. Setting her napkin down on the table, she left the hall. Father could only stare after her abrupt departure. After walking a little bit Vincent stopped and grabbed Catherine in his arms and took her lips in a passionate kiss. Vincent my goodness what a kiss. Catherine I have been wanting to do that ever since we entered the hall. I could not wait to get you back in my arms again.. And, I knew you needed rescued from father�s glares. I felt your discomfort. Thank you I was uncomfortable.. Why doesn�t he like me? Catherine I thinks he feels that you may will end up breaking my heart. Vincent I could never do that because I love you too much. I wish father could see how much I love you and how much you mean to me. Do you think if I sit down and talk to him I can get him to understand and accept me as a part of your life? That is if you want me to be. Catherine I want that more that anything in the world. When you said you would give up everything for love, were you referring to me Catherine. Yes Vincent I was trying to let you know that I want to be with you. Catherine I want that too. Maybe if we talk to father we can make him understand how we feel about each other. Get him to accept our love. We will do that before you leave. Come let us finish our walk .
