Love Sweet Love Part 8 (rated g) Lisa did not know what to do. She did not want Vincent mad at her. Catherine she really did not care. She needed to talk to someone on how to make amends with Vincent. Mary was always a good listener and gave good advice. I'll go see her. Arriving at Mary's chamber, she was sitting in a rocking chair with her back to the entrance humming a soft lullaby. "Mary, it is Lisa." "I just returned." Mary turned her head to Lisa, "How are you dear?" "We have missed you here with us." "I have missed being here." "Come here dear so we can talk." "I just got this little one to sleep." "Lisa went over to her, and saw the most beautiful baby she has ever seen asleep in Mary's arms. She could tell he was a boy by the blue jean coveralls he had on. "Oh Mary, he is so beautiful with his olive complexion and curly blond hair." "Can I hold him?" "I will try not to wake him." "Of course dear, gently handing her the baby." She is beautiful is he not?" I just love being with him." "Mary whose child is he any way, before Mary could answer, the tiny little boy, opened his eyes. "Oh my goodness, I have only seen these incredible blue eyes on one other person Vincent." "Lisa everyone says the same thing." "Vincent has had people say that to him ever since the little one came Below." For some reason Lisa was drawn to the child. She liked children but never wanted any of her own, until now. "Mary how long has he been Below?" "Does anyone Above know about him?" He has been here for a month now." "A few of our helpers and a few close friends know he is here." "Why do you ask Lisa?" "Mary for some reason, I want this child." "I never wanted children of my own." "But there is something about him that makes me want to be a mother to him." Mary was getting a little worried about Lisa, like she was getting an obsession for the child. "Lisa dear the child was not abandoned. " "His parents are here." "He needs no more." "Oh I see." Mary saw the disappointed looked in her eyes. "Lisa his eyes and hair take after his father." "His beauty comes from his mother." "Mary do I know his parents?" "Yes you do, came the soft voice from the entrance to the chamber, and they love him very much." Lisa drew her attention from the child a moment to see Catherine and Vincent enter the chamber. "Catherine, Vincent please tell me whose child is he.? In unison, they replied, "Lisa he is our son." Going over to her Vincent took the child gently from her arms and handed him to Catherine. "You're his parents?" "Yes Lisa Catherine and I are his parents." "That's right you told me Catherine was pregnant the last time I was here." Walking over to Catherine, Lisa gently rubbed his soft blond curls. "You must be quite proud of yourself Vincent you produce a very beautiful son. "Yes we did Lisa." "He got his beauty from Catherine." "Maybe but his most striking features came from you Vincent." Mary noticed the way Lisa looked at Vincent." She was in love with him. This is not good. No wonder she felt drawn to the child he has a lot of Vincent in him. "So Lisa dear come over here." "Sit down and tell me about Europe?" " Catherine, Vincent I will see you two later." "The baby never really took a nap." "Why don't the two of you lay him down for a nap, while Lisa and I talk?" Vincent knew Mary's intentions. She was a keen observer. "Yes Catherine come let us put our son down for a nap." Placing his arms around her waist Vincent escorted them to the exit. "Wait Catherine said Lisa?" "Can I see him one more time before you go?" Not waiting for an answer she got up and went to the baby in Catherine's arms. Placing a kiss on his cheek, I love you my baby." It was barely a whisper so Vincent was the only one who heard her. Taking Lisa's arm, Vincent guided her away from Catherine and the baby. "Lisa Mary is anxious to hear about Europe." "Of yes of course." "Catherine Vincent can I come see the baby later?" "May be later was Vincent's reply and they left the chamber." "Now said Mary, drawing Lisa's attention from the chamber exit, tell me about Europe?" As Catherine and Vincent walked to their chamber, he was lost in thought over Lisa's actions and her words. Catherine's attention was on the baby. "Oh Vincent look how he wants to see everything around him." Her words interrupted his thoughts. "Yes my love he seems quite interested in everything." He focused his attention on his lovely Catherine and his son. Vincent decided not to tell Catherine about Lisa's actions and what she had said. He would regret it later.
