Love Sweet Love Part 5 pg-13 Father was getting worried as the days went by. Vincent seemed distant and sad. Diana visited him but he was not much company to her or anyone else. He took his meals in his chamber. Isolating himself from everyone. Her disappearance seems to have hit him harder since he woke up from his deep sleep. Two weeks later Peter went to see her. She was sitting up in bed reading she and Vincent's favorite book, "Great Expectations." "How are you feeling today?" "Sad." "My heart is breaking Peter." "I need Vincent." "I want to hold my baby in my arms." "I cannot keep waiting Peter it hurts too much." "Well sweety I have something which I think will make you feel better." "Nurse come in please." "Oh my god Peter." Tears poured from her eyes. She climbed out the bed and ran to the nurse holding the wiggly bundle in her arms with curly blond hair." The nurse handed her the baby. She opened the blanket to see his face and saw the second most beautiful pair of blue eyes she has ever seen, her son's. Peter became misty-eyed seeing her joy. "Joe found him honey." "He is in perfect health." "OH Peter how will I ever thank him enough for finding my baby?" "Seeing you this happy is all the thanks I need came the male voice from the door." "She went to him and gave him a big hug. "Thank you for finding my son." "You are Welcome." "Besides as much as you have helped me it was the least I could do." "They both laughed. "So Peter how soon can we get them home to Vincent?" "As soon as she can get herself ready." "Joe you know about Vincent she asked?" "Yes Peter told me everything." "Now why don't you spend time with your baby." "You have been away from him long enough." "Peter and I can pack your belongings." "Thank you both." Knowing how anxious she was to see Vincent, they quickly packed her bags. She was going home. Entering Vincent's chamber, "how are you son?" "As well as to be expected father." "Vincent I have brought someone to see you." "Father you know since she disappeared, turning his back to hide his tears, I have not seen many people." "Send my apologizes." "I wish to see no one right now." "Does that include us Vincent said the sweet voice he has missed for so long?" His body froze for a moment, unable to believe what he had heard, his Bond opened for the first time in months, his memories came flooding back, he turned around. With tears rolling down his face, there was his Catherine more beautiful then he remembered holding a baby. He ran to her, holding her in his arms. It felt so wonderful to hold her again. To smell her soft rose scent. "Catherine you have come back to me." "Yes my love I have come home." He looked at the tiny little bundle in her arms with a look of wonder in his eyes. She opened the blanket. "Vincent I would like you to met your son gently handing him the baby. When he saw his son for the first time, he cried harder, he looked at his sky blue eyes that matched his own, his tiny little fingers and toes, "Catherine he's beautiful, he's perfect just as you are." Placing a soft kiss upon her lips, "I love you Catherine Chandler." "And I love you Vincent Wells." Father hated to interrupt their reunion but he had to ask. "Vincent you did not know Catherine was found?" "No father." "How could this have been kept from me?" Father could hear the hurt in his voice, Vincent Diana told me Peter said it would best for you not to know." "He knew that you would be determined to go to her." "It was to risky for you and Catherine." "I cannot believe that." "If I knew it was a danger to Catherine if I tried to see her, though it would have pained me to do so, I would not have tried to see her." "I would never let any let any harm come to her." Peter came in at that moment. "Vincent I never told Diana not to tell you Catherine had been found." "In fact Joe told her over three months ago to make sure you knew as soon as you recovered." "Peter she never told me." "How could she do that?" As Diana entered the chamber, "I did it because I had fallen in love with you." "When you found out she was safe, I knew I would lose you." "I am sorry Vincent." "Please for give me?" Diana had been a friend to him through all of this and he was grateful. He would forgive her one-day but not yet. The hurt was too strong. "Diana right now I cannot bring myself to forgive you." "May be one day I will." "I understand Vincent." "Just so you know had I known Catherine had bore you a child I would not have done what I did." "As a child I lived in a single parent home I know how that feels." "I would not want another child to go through what I did if I could prevent it." "Vincent I am glad you have your family back as it should be." "Take care of Catherine and your baby." "When you can find it in your heart to forgive me, send me a message." "Be happy." "Good-bye Vincent." As Diana headed for the world above, she left the tunnels and her heart behind."
