Love Sweet Love Part 3 (pg-13) Sirens were all around her. She could hear everything. "This woman is not doing well." "Her pulse is weak, her heartbeat slow." "Who ever did this was not trying to kill her." "She's bleeding heavy." "She just delivered a baby." "I wonder what happened to the child?" She tried to scream out to them. Letting them know her baby was taken from her. No sounds would come out. She tried to open her eyes; she couldn't move. Panic set in. "The patients going into shock." "We're losing her." Below Vincent was still asleep. After the episode earlier, he has not moved. Father knew his body reacted to situations different from everyone else. Sleep is his body's way of healing its self. He will keep a close watch on him just in case. Two days later in a private hospital in lower Manhattan, "Peter how is she today?" "Not much better I'm afraid." "Now that we got her vital signs and bleeding under control she's been upgraded to critical." "That's great." "Has she regained conscienceness yet?" "No not yet." "Peter I promise you this, I will find out who did this to her and I will find her baby." Peter knew Joe cared for her and he would keep his promise. Joe had told him she was not working on anything dangerous with her job. That left only one reason why the baby was taken. He had to keep that information a secret until he could go Below. A helper informed him of Vincent's illness the day she was found. He wanted to go in person to see father and to check on Vincent but he could not leave until she was out of intensive care. Now that she was he felt it was safe to go for a few hours. He would give his cell phone number to Joe in case of an emergency. With his decision made, Peter asked Joe "if he could stay with her a few hours." "He had a very important errand to make." "Sure Peter." "Go do what you have to do." "I will not leave her side." Knowing Joe would do just that, Peter gave him his cell phone number. "Call me if you need me." "Thanks, and he left." That afternoon father received a message that Peter was there just as he walked into his chamber. "Jacob how have you been and how is Vincent?" "I'm a little worried Peter." "Vincent has been sleeping since his pain left three days ago." "His self healing doesn't usually take this long." "Jacob please sit down." "There is something I have to tell you." "It must remain between us until it is safe to tell anyone else especially Vincent." Taking a seat father nodded his head in agreement, "what is it Peter?" "Jacob she has been found." "Oh my god Peter, "How?" "When?" "Where?" "Is she all right? "It was a 911 call made three days ago from an estate just outside the city." "She was found unconscious on the floor." "She is in a private hospital just outside lower Manhattan." "She is in critical condition." "What happened to her Peter? "She was injected with morphine right after she gave birth." "God no." "What about the baby?" Peter lowered his head saddened before he spoke. "There was no sign of the child." "Jacob Joe said she refused to work on anything dangerous for personal reasons and he feels that is not why this happened." "I agree with him." "I think she was kidnapped because someone found out about the father of her child." "Peter are you telling me she was captured because of the child she carried?" "Yes it appears to be so?" "Someone wanted this child badly." "After she delivered she was probably going to be killed." "Jacob whoever did this to her must have had some medical background." "She was injected with just enough morphine not to kill her." " Maybe the captor had second thoughts I do not know." "Peter how could someone be that evil?" "Who knows Jacob." "As for Vincent's recent illness. "I think despite that fact the Bond is lost to him; subconsciously he still experiences things with her. 'I believe he was sharing her labor with her and did not know it." "Peter that may be true." "The pain he was in was similar to labor now that I think about it." "It lasted for about three hours." "Than it ended as quickly as it came." "After the pain had passed, Vincent asked me if I had heard a baby cry." "Of course I did not." "I do not have their connection." "This also explains why he is still sleeping." "He is sharing her unconscious state with her." "Jacob that does not surprise me at all." "Their connection is extraordinary." "Jacob, Joe Maxwell wants to know why someone would go to such extremes to take her child." "He wants the person responsible brought to justice."
