"Oh Vincent it is so good to see you." "How are you?" He moved from her embrace before he spoke. "Catherine and I could not have been happier until this morning." Diana's heart began to flutter was it over between them? "Trying not to sound too anxious, "what happened between you and Catherine?" "Nothing happened between us Diana." "We love each other more now that we did before she disappeared." "Oh I see." "You have your memories back of Catherine and what you shared?" He smiled, "yes I do." "Why can't you forgive me?" He removed her hand off his arm, "Diana I have forgiven people for a lot of things but I went through months of heartache and pain over Catherine's disappearance." "You knew how I was suffering and you let me." "How can I forgive you for that?" Moving away from him, if you feel this way why did you contact me?" "Our son was taken from the tunnels this morning by a woman we considered family." "I know you are the best private investigator in New York." "If any one can find our son it would be you." "Will you help us Diana?" She thought a moment, "if she did this Vincent would have to forgive her.' "All right Vincent I will do it." "Thank you Diana." Wait on that thank you until I find him." Now tell me about this woman?" When Vincent was done explaining everything to Diana, she told him she would start working on it at daybreak." She would let him know of her progress." Goodbye Vincent and she left the park. After she was gone Vincent stayed a few minutes. He had felt someone near when he and Diana were talking. He felt no danger so he did not say anything." He was just at the tunnel entrance when he said, "you can come out now." "Are you Vincent asked the man, trying to see him in the dark. "Who is asking and how do you know me?" He came into Vincent's view it was Joe Maxwell. "You know Mr. Maxwell you should not sneak around at night it could be dangerous to you slowly walking toward him. He was much bigger than Joe expected, his cloak was swaying as he walked adding to his powerful presence and cat-like grace. He was quite a dominating male figure to say the least. His voice sounded like to was designed to read classic literature. It did not fit him at all. "You are Vincent right. Joe asked again?" "Yes I am." "Why were you hiding?" "Well I asked Diane earlier if I could come with her she said no. "I was curious about you and followed her here." "I am surprised she did not know I was here." She is usually very perceptive.
