Catherine has been Below two weeks now. Gabriel's attempt at murder failed. Vincent had found her but she "died" in his arms. Joe later learned she hadn't died and kept her hidden for six months until Gabriel was killed by Diana Bennett. The day she returned to Vincent was the happiest day of his life. He had their son Jacob but he missed Catherine terribly. Diana Bennett who was investigating Catherine's disappearance helped him find his son and bring him home. Vincent knew she had fallen in love with him but he could not return that love. Catherine had stolen his heart forever. Diana had been upset the day Catherine returned, as she knew Vincent would be lost to her. She didn't know Catherine that well and didn't want too. As long as she had Vincent they could never be friends. Oh Catherine thanked her for helping Vincent find their son but it made no difference she found him for herself andVincent . He is a lovely baby and she refers to him as her son. Vincent had corrected her quite a few times but finally gave up. Diana remembers the day she found Vincent at Catherine's grave and took him home to care for him. She did not mean to fall in love with him but who could resist his gentleness, unique appearance and his charm. She dreams of him all the time. Dreams of them loving and her having his children. She tried all means of seduction to get him to love her as he did with Catherine. She wanted to have that special love he shared with her. Why should she be the only one to receive it, why should she feel his power, his strength , his gentleness and his love she has everything? Vincent had told her as he recovered that Catherine sacrificed everything for him and gave him a child but he cannot remember that time. He cannot remember the love they shared in that dark cavern but a child was conceived in the love. He and Catherine's child. Diana wanted him to experience that love with her; she wanted him to remember it and stop trying to remember the one he had with Catherine. Since that woman's been back they are always together but as far as she knows they have separate chambers and have not slept together. She will get Vincent if it means ridding his life of the one obstacle in her way Catherine. She had a plan and hopes it will work. If she cannot talk her into leaving, well there are accidental drownings in water everyday. With these thoughts in mind she asked Catherine to meet her at the Chamber of Falls. She wanted to get to know her and to go for a swim. Catherine had never trusted Diana from the moment she met her. It maybe the instinct of an ex-assistance DA . Ah Catherine you came? Yes Diana I did removing the beach towel covering her bikini to sit upon it. Diana asked, could they talk for a while than go for a swim? Sounds fine to me Diana. (Vincent was in the guest chamber leaving Catherine a book of sonnets when he felt her joy and happiness. The feeling he gets from her when she mentions himself and baby Jacob are so overwhelming. Catherine could only stare for a moment before she answered trying to hide the hurt and pain within her. Diane what are you saying? Just that Vincent and I became lovers during your absence. You experienced his love once, which he doesn't remember mind you, whereas I experienced his love on quite a few occasions who knows I may even be carrying his child smiling at Catherine as she rubs her stomach. On the verge of tears she said Diana Vincent never told me. Had I known I would not have came back into Vincent's life. Diana I only want him to be happy. Noone told me. Well now you know. So when will you be leaving giving Vincent and I the chance to continue our life? Diana I will be leaving this evening and taking Jacob with me. Good Vincent and I need time alone. Well Diana I must go check on my son and start packing. She ran from the falls to upset to grab her towel. Good she's leaving now it's time to start plan two--getting Vincent in bed. If I get pregnant he will do the right thing and stay with me. Well first things first I have got to keep them from seeing each other before she leaves and she left the falls as well. What Diana forgot was the connection between them and Vincent felt the overwhelming hurt and pain within Catherine. Why? I must go to her and he ran to his chamber. When he arrived there she was crying and packing Jacob's clothes. Wrapping his arms around her Catherine what's wrong I feel your hurt, pain and sadness? Oh Vincent why didn't you or anyone tell me? Tell you what Catherine? About you and Diana's love. I wouldn't have returned. Although it broke my heart when I found out you could love another so soon after my disappearance, I want you happy. Catherine what are you talking about? Diana told me you have been lovers since Jacob was found and she maybe carrying your child. Catherine NO holding her close I could never betray you and our love like that. How could you believe a story like that? Vincent I was gone six months things happen. Catherine look at me raising her chin to look into her beautiful eyes glistening with tears, I love you, only you, I could not love another. You have stolen my heart. It belongs to only you and he kissed her. . My love when you disappeared I was lost to myself. After I found baby Jacob he helped me survive. I had to survive for our son. Don't you see Catherine I was meant to love you and you alone? Taking her lips once more. Vincent why would Diana be so cruel. Catherine she thought she loved me, she tried to get me to love her. Catherine she thinks that she is in love with me. But it is really envy. Catherine she desperately wants to experience a love like ours. She wants that powerful love we share. Catherine she wants your life. Oh Vincent what are we going to do. If she is that determined to live my life will she be dangerous. I don't know my love. We can try and figure out the situation maybe talk to father later. Right now we need to be together. Lifting her in his arms he carried her to his bed. Laying down bedside her he held her close. When Vincent realized the only thing she had on was the two tiny pieces of her bikini, and felt the lovely softness of her body, he asked her the one question he never thought he would . Catherine can I make love to you? Looking into his gorgeous blue eyes, Vincent I want that more than anything in the world. Catherine my love and they were lost within each other. A little later Diana decided to go see if Catherine was done packing. She knew she would be in Vincent's chamber packing the baby's clothes and entered the room stopping dead in her tracks.
