NEW HAVEN - It was announced this morning by the New Haven Ghetto Thugs that the week 2 New York Mets Underachiever of the Week award went to wide receiver Corey Bradford. Some had felt that tight end Wesley Walls would walk away with the award, but apparently Bradford's four more receiving yards was not enough to overcome the disappointment after the hype that surrounded Bradford joining the Ghetto Thugs just last week. The award was presented at the I-95 - I-91 interchange this morning by Mets catcher Mike Piazza who said, "I'm glad we suck. Now instead of going to the playoffs my playmates and I can shampoo my hair all day long." Despite their win this week, New Haven still has the lowest score in the league and looks forward to loosing key players in Rich Gannon, Tim Brown and Jerry Rice, as well as back up QB Mark Brunell in their match up with the strong Virginia Colonydawgs in week 3.
