6/13/03 NEW HAVEN - In their league-leading 4th trade of the season the New Haven Traffic Cones finally acquired the high-caliber third baseman they had been seeking all season in Troy Glaus. In exchange for the 4th ranked third baseman, the Cones gave up 13th ranked starting pitcher Randy Wolf and the recently rehabilitated outfielder Richard Hidalgo. The move marks the first management move from the team's new corporate headquarters in Florida. "This just shows that even though we've moved our offices 1,200 miles away from New Haven, it will not change the way we manage this team. Our goal always has been and will continue to be to win. New Haven fans will not see any lack of effort by management to continue that winning philosophy no matter where our corporate offices are located," team owner Jeff Stanley said. To further illustrate his point, Stanley cited last week's 6-3 victory despite a complete lack of team management, due to the Yelnats, Inc. move.
