NEW HAVEN - Late as usual, the New Haven Traffic Cones held a brief 
press conference this morning to announce their week 5 lineup.  After 
making headlines earlier this week by executing two trades, today's 
news was negligible in comparison.  It is no surprise to find newcomer 
Tim Worrell in the lineup, but former Devil Jay Eric Gagne was unable 
to make it to New Haven in time to join the team this week.  

The week 5 lineup is as follows:

C - Ramon Hernandez - Matheny's streak comes to an end
1B - Rafael Palmeiro - Yup
2B - Jeff Kent - See Palmeiro
3B - Robin Ventura - Stupid Yankee joins the Cones
SS - Rafael Furcal - Fighting hard to keep a starting role upon 
Jeter's return
OF - Shannon Stewart - Secures a starting role once again
OF - Hideki Matsui - He should take Mike Piazza's place in those 
shampoo commercials
OF - Jim Edmonds - Producing enough to stay in the outfield
OF - Raul Mondesi - This guy's hotter than, well, something really hot
CI - Nick Johnson - Another stupid Yankee joins the Cones, taking 
Derrek Lee's place
MI - Alex Gonzalez - His numbers have fallen off significantly; Will 
he be here next week?
Util - Rondell White - As long as he keeps hitting souvenirs, he can 
stay
Util - Chipper Jones - Is he starting to get hot?
RP - Mike MacDougal - 3 saves in 7 days?  Looks OK to me
RP - John Smoltz - See MacDougal
RP - Jorge Julio - A Baltimore reliever producing saves!?!
RP - Tim Worrell - Newcomer looks to make an impression
SP - Al Leiter - 2 starts this week.  Will Armando blow them?
SP - Randy Wolf - 2 starters this week?  What's going on?
