Interview # 5

Hey Bulldog Fans! I’m back with another interview! Yeah, I know. It’s about time. This time I talked to Blake Guidry (11) who plays free safety.

Kristen Carrier: “What made you become interested in football?”

Blake Guidry: “I got interested because I know FHS is gonna win the state championship and I wanted to be a part of it.”

KC: “Awesome. This is the first year you've played?”

BG: “ I played freshman year but quit sophomore year, so I decided to return.”

KC: “Oh, ok. Did you choose your jersey number? If so, was there a special reason for your choice?”

BG: “Nah, there was no special reason. I just like the way ‘11’ looks.”

KC:  “That’s a new one. (laughs) I haven’t heard that before. What's the worst injury you've ever suffered?”

BG: “I’ve never been injured. I give injuries to my opponents.”

KC: “Wow. I have to say I wasn't expecting that.”

BG: (laughs)

KC: “What are some of the funniest memories that you can recall?”

BG: “The funniest times were when me and my other all-state defensive player Ashton Autin were talking mess with the other teams.”

KC: (laughs) “You guys must be best friends, because he’s telling me to ‘interview the all american safety.’ ”

BG: (laughs) “Yeah, well it’s the truth.”

KC: “ I believe that . Those interceptions of your are amazing! It must be difficult to deal with schoolwork, practices, games, etcetera, all at the same time. How do you do it?”

BG: “I don’t know. . .I guess I would have to say I’m good like that.”

KC: (laughs) “You’re really funny. I was gonna ask who you thought the most confident player on the team was, but I think I may already have my answer to that question.”

BG: “Well we’re all confident, because we know we can hang with any team in the state.”

KC: “So true, so true. What is football camp like?”

BG: “Not bad. It’s pretty tight, because we all get to bond as a team.”

KC: “Awesome. I can only imagine. What were some of the team's greatest victories in your opinion?”

BG: “The best ones were the Salmen game and the Slidell game, because we had never beaten those teams before.”

KC: “Oh yeah, that’s right. Are there any left that we've never beaten?”

BG: “Nope.”

KC: “Oh yeah! We rule. (laughs) What do you do for fun when you’re not playing football?”

BG: “Spit game at girls with my boy Autin.”

KC: (shakes head) “You guys are nuts. (laughs) Well, that pretty much wraps up the interview. Thanks for your time. I really appreciate it.”

Well, that’s it for this interview! Keep an eye out out for more soon! Thanks again Blake!
