Besaid is a humble little island, home to Blitzball's underdog team, the Besaid Aurochs.The temple has once again opened it's doors to the followers of Yevon, and the Fayth of Valefor has strangely regained it's essence. Most of the starting summoners visit Besaid first (excluding if there is a temple in their home village), because of the weaker fiends in the area.
Besaid seems to be one of the few "safe havens" from Sin nowadays...
