A few months ago, a few Squaresoft workers hinted that they would be willing to make a sequel to the biggest hit squaresoft game to the date (FF7). and they did. currently, Squaresoft is working on FF7-2.
when Final fantasy VII was realeased in 1997 it was an instant hit and still squaresofts most successful hit game. It sold over 9 million copies and are still selling them today.
Thats why they decieded to make a sequel. Here is a little teaser story for you.
The game appearently takes place 2 years after the meteor hit and destroyed midgar, everyone on the planet is rebuilding the once great civilization. The main Character in this game seems to be Tifa Lockheart. (from FF7) :)
Many of the old friends will be joining Tifa in this sequel, as well as a few new friends too. :)
Midgar, the once rich, and powerful city has fallan apart now that the Shrina company is gone. Many people thought they could go in after everyone was dead and become rich, and those people ganged up to form a new population. But no one seems to dare enter the dangerous ghost city anymore. Tifa hears of a new leader in the gangs that roam the dead city, It seems to be someone familer. Tifa makes plans to start a journey to Midgar. (I don't now if you get a party.) She has to solve the Mystery on who the leader really is. Could it be Cloud. looks like Cloud once again lost his memory and thinks he is someone else....
Cloud seems to be a villan in this game, but its not said he won't be playable, we'll just have to wait. Motorcycles seem to be big in this game, hinting that there might be another bike game like the very popular and fun bike chase in FF7 the shrina building.
I can't get any pictures yet (Computer is'nt good enough) but next week I will have two pictures, can't find any screenshots, but I have to Japanisse magazine pics and the FF7-2 logo.
